PHOENIX A 39-year-old Iranian man has been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle other Iranians into the United States through Mexico.
The U-S Attorney's Office in Phoenix says Zeayadali Malhamdary was arrested Thursday in the parking lot of a Mesa tailoring business he owns.
The F-B-I began investigating Malhamdary after a source told immigration officials that Malhamdary had sought help getting false Mexican visas so he could bring Iranians into Mexico.
The feds say he then intended to bring them across the border into Arizona.
During a court appearance today, an innocent plea was entered on Malhamrary's behalf.
Malhamdary is a legal permanent resident of the United States.

Now it's Iranians sneaking across our borders, I guess, to do ALL those jobs us Americans won't do.

There's just not enough American's willing or able to sneak nuclear materials across our borders.
Good thing there are Iranians willing to shoulder the burden!
To: txdoda
Wait till a few Spanish speaking islamists bring in a nuclear device as a routine cocaine shipment and detonate.
That is the only way we will see any boarder control in this region.

"Malhamdary is a legal permanent resident of the United States."
Hopefully not for long. Send his butt back to Iran.

Just how do you propose to do that? Do you realize the cost involved in making our borders "closed"? The shear number of personnel it would involve would bankrupt our country inside of a year.
About the only way we could "close" the border would be to take every available military personnel and string them across.
Oh, and by the way, it would seem from this story that the Mexican authorities may have helped catch these people.

That's because they don't want any competition for their citizens invading.

If we attack Iran we are guaranteed to get hit by terrorism. GG Bush.

How much did it cost to suffer the assault of 9/11? How much will it cost if/when one of our major cities is nuked?
We would actually be saving money over the long run if we properly manned our borders.
Here's an idea: Let's get the government completely out of the education and energy businesses. All of those people currently working for either DOE would be given a choice: go get a job in the private sector or start training to work for the INS.
No net government cost increase. Just an overal increase in efficiency and security.
And those PhD's currently doodling around with various "energy" projects could be hired to create a high-tech virtual fence that might negate the need to hire lots of additional INS personnel in the future.

Saying that we can't secure the border is utter misinformation and not very American to say we can't do something like protect ourselves. We can have an Israeli like wall all along our southern border for less than $20 billion.
Our government needs to stop building big brother BS and secure the border. That wouldn't fit with the new world order though. I'm sorry, but I sure as hell don't trust a government that wants to know every search term in the search engines but doesn't even bother to secure the border.
