Federal prosecutors say Malhamdary had previously smuggled about 60 Iranians into the United States.

The article never says whether this man was prosecuted for that. Why is he still allowed to stay here? It's just lunacy to keep our borders so unprotected.

Deborah McCarley, a spokeswoman for the FBI office in Phoenix, said ... authorities don't currently have reason to believe that there are any terrorist connections to the case. "There's nothing to suggest that."

But she said the ability to come over the border illegally creates a vulnerability. "When people are coming over the borders illegally and using false identification, you have to be concerned about that and it's a vulnerability to our borders," McCarley said.

"you have to be concerned about that" -- the boys in D.C. don't seem all that concerned about it.
