The McGill University Health Center (MUHC) in Montreal has announced the first successful birth in Canada resulting from frozen eggs. A team led by Professor Seang Lin Tan, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McGill University and Director of the McGill Reproductive Centre at the MUHC in Montreal confirmed the birth of a healthy baby boy, weighing 3740grams on April 29. "We are the first in-vitro fertilization (IVF) Centre in Canada to achieve this success," says Dr Tan. "This is fantastic news for both the family and for fertility health research and we would like to congratulate the parents on the birth of their first child."

Frozen eggs... Canada... Gotta be a joke in there somewhere...
I would hate to be a child waiting to be adopted.
In Canadea? This is hugh!
It was born all hairy, with ushanka hat and can of Molson in hand saying: "in Canadea or Canukistan, Eh?"
So they make frozen kids, while aborting live ones?
We live in a weird world don't we? Hopefully when the time comes for these people, God will say, "Here's a petri dish. Make your own Heaven."
Probably missing something about Canadian Bacon.
Wonderful, now we can get pizza and kids delivered hot and fresh.
8-9 months to deliver your baby - or it's free!
good side - no need to be creating surplus frozen embryos - not that there aren't a few million for the ghouls to play with.
bad side - women putting off child-rearing until they are in their forties and fifties and beyond? career first, with or without husbands.
good side - a woman who hasn't the good fortune to marry until she is in late thirties, or a bit older, can have a better chance at having babies.
bad side - further divorce of sex and reproduction
good side - you could possibly release these thawed ova right into the fallopian tubes and have a normal conception
"Wonderful, now we can get pizza and kids delivered hot and fresh."
Someone could patent and manufacture a Kid-o-matic. It would be a cross between a microwave and an incubator. You insert the frozen egg, press a few buttons, and, voila, a fresh kiddo in seconds!
LOL
Canadea, sounds like a veneral disease?????
Frozen kids? Just thaw 'em out in the microwave and you can put 'em back in the freezer for later...hey, I like this idea!
A kidsicle?
I wonder how many birth defects or chronic illnesses will result from being frozen?
Oh, what a Brave New World.
Is Canadea on the border with the Unitede Staetes? :-)
Deliveries within city limits of course. You get a free bottle of milk and a diaper bag.
