Just in on ABC News. He and his family admit it through his lawyer. Will be in upcoming Vanity Fair.

Mark Felt, FBI deputy associate director (and known by reporters as someone willing to take their calls); Charles W. Bates, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's general investigative division; and Robert Kunkel, the special agent in charge of the Washington, D.C., field office. Mann identified all three as Deep Throat suspects.
The news leader I heard said he had always kept it from his family as well.
From the wording, I think the implication is that he's in advanced Alzheimer's or some related condition.

It will be interesting to see how the media portrays him as compared to Linda Tripp. With Tripp, the media's attitude was largely one of "nobody likes a snitch". I suspect that Felt will be recognized as a hero.

As I posted above, I can't hear coverage in my office, but ABC had onscreen that Felt told his family in 2002. It sounds like if ABC reported that now he does not remember, it is due to age and his physical condition. The picture they showed of him would seem to buttress that. It was of an old man who did not appear to have all of his faculties anymore.
What about Woodward and Bernstein, have they said anything today?
