How true and that is why I was so angry with John McCain the other evening when he was asked if he had suffered post traumatic stress due to his time as a prisoner of war.

He immediately said no, too quickly for my liking, he almost dismissed that there was such a thing. He does himself and others disservice with this attitude.

I suppose he feels if he has Presidential aspirations he cannot own up to any suggestion of mental problems in the past but this will both alienate those who are suffering mentally and discourages them to admit it and those that do to feel weak because if John McCain did not succumb after years as POW then they will feel they should not admit to the problem they have.

Sorry for mentioning this again but it really angered me and your post reinforced the stupidity of his remarks because any intelligent person must realise that he must have suffered as a result of this.

I didn't hear McCain's remarks, but I'm glad you brought them to my attention. I don't like the guy and his comments will make it even easier for me not to vote for him.
