NEW CLINTON BOOK: THE LIES, THE FIGHTS, THE INSULTS
**Exclusive**
Summer starts with a bang as veteran WASHINGTON POST reporter John Harris traces the emotional highs and lows of the Clinton presidency.
THE SURVIVOR: BILL CLINTON IN THE WHITE HOUSE drops this week from RANDOM [the book ranked #9,527 on AMAZON's sales parade Monday afternoon], but the DRUDGE REPORT can now sneak:
--Bill Clinton was so upset that his weight-loss regimen in 2000 was not working that he made his aides release a bogus number after his annual Navy physical to make him five pounds lighter. (pg. 394)
--Hillary taunted her husband's aides as being wimps by not fighting hard enough on Whitewater - "JFK had real men in his White House!" (pg. 108)
--Tipper Gore was so disgusted in 2000 with Bill and Hillary that she stayed cloistered in a holding room instead of going to a New York reception with major Democratic fund-raisers where the Clintons would be. "No, I'm not doing it," she snapped to an aide. "I'm not going out there with that man."
--The first conversation between Clinton and Gore after the Lewinsky story broke. Clinton is shouting at Gore, "This is a [expletive deleted] coup d'etat!" Gore just stared back blankly. pg 313.
--Former White House counter-terrorism chief Richard Clarke on the record hitting Clinton for not having the guts to fire FBI director Louis Freeh, who Clarke called a major obstacle on anti-terrorism policy. "He should have just fired Freeh and taken the [expletive deleted] it would have caused." (pg. 408)
The POST plans two jumbos on Tuesday, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.
One story from Harris will outline Hillary Clinton's presidential preparations.
If it's accurate, my guess would be that there WON'T be reviews and interviews. The MSM will ignore it. If it's a glowing book that excuses Clinton's lies and malfeasance, he will be all over the airwaves.
Well, he could for all we know--he never did give permission for his medical records to be released. Gave the impression he had something to hide.
John Harris is a Monica-wannabe. The inside of this book will be all PRO-Clinton...and the lies and insults will be the big, bad religious Republicans!!
More like an effing coup de Gap (navy dress).
Nah. He looks like a man who has had to endure a lot of hospital food.
He'd have to do some work to beat Jimmy Carter. Nobody hates the concept of America more than that mean-spirited, small-minded peanut farmer.
Looks like a person who has HIV! Maybe there's an urgency to give him a legacy and erase all the stupid things he did in the ORAL office and our country before he croaks! The guy looks like death!
bump
The libs lie about their health issues like the Russians do. When he does croak... it'll be sudden with unusual causes and it will reek of cover-up.
Is this going to be followed by The Money Laundering, The Chinese Spies, The Soiled Undergarments?
The rage filled, screaming, red faced, veins popping, wild eyed "Hell to pay" banshee strikes again.
Look at the timing of this book. Get out the dirt now so that when Hillary makes her run for presidency this stuff will be forgotten about.
plus he gave the Chinese Long Beach harbor...
Hmmmmm.
The Who should put Clarke and Clinton on their next rock opera: "Wankerphonia". Clarke can play Clinton's voodo magic-uncle who sews little homoculli dolls up for Clinton to stick pins in, while reciting voodoo incantations Clarke learned from Clinton's wheelchair-bound counsel, You know -- the one who died in his bathtub so conveniently.
They must have used a hot-water-wash fabric for that little voodoo doll.
Exactly, it will be fuel for the TV and radio talk shows for a week and forgotten about. We knew they were self-serving scum while they were in office. There is almost nothing new that could surprise me about the Clintons.
This idiot coud have saved himself a lot of time and copied FR threads in late 97 and all of 98.
Maybe it's establishing his resume for Secretary General of the UN?
WHOA this book going be good
NOw this book that Drudge was kinda preview on his radio show last night according to what I hear
