Sounds like maybe the elementary school made a good decision in separating this nut from the kiddos. This guy is so demented, he doesn't even realize "society made me do it" is a cliche.

I hope they catch the gun that did this. Who made the gun? Why was this gun left unattended to be able to do this? Why, somebody ought to pass a law........

"9 mm assault rifle" - Hmm, none comes to mind. They do exist in 7.62 and 5.65 mm, but in 9?
Uzi? Uzi is a SMG, and so is MK-5. TEC pistol? Not an assault rifle either.

I guess if a person had lost his job and was being given a 200.00 ticket for failure to put on a seat belt, the loss of 200.00 could seem life threatening.

The suspect then chased him into the highway median, continuing to shoot him with a 9 mm assault rifle, police said.Assault rifle? 9mm? Naww. Musta been a 9mm assault pistol :)

So an idiot commits an assault with a rifle and it becomes an assault rifle. If he had perpetrated a rape with a banana would it become a rape banana? or just a ripe banana?

"It was just temporary insanity. I wasn't even thinking when I did it," he said. "The society's what caused me to do what I did. Just look at the society we live in."
And a court jury of his peers should do the same, charged him for his insanity claiming society forced them to put him behind bars for life. Loser

There is no such thing as a 9-mm assault rifle. Submachine gun perhaps, but by definition, a 9 mm is not an assault caliber. Don't expect the media to appreciate the distinction.

"It was just temporary insanity. I wasn't even thinking when I did it," he said. Not using your brain is irresponsible, and should be punishable crime in this case. The many murderers say that they are insane. And I believe it. They are. They should be tried and sentenced for that. We don't want insane people to be in our society.

"The society's what caused me to do what I did. Just look at the society we live in."
Society is merely the product of billions of individual choices, and he made his choice. He might as well claim his cat told him to do it.

So why it that the AP can provide specifics on the weapon used (sort of) but can't say what this person did at the elementary school? Was he a teacher, a janitor, a bus driver Butcher, Baker, Indian Chief?

"Mr. Rollins can try to blame anyone he wants to blame, but the reality is, society wasn't out there pulling that trigger," Sanders said. Darn straight.
