The similarities are frightening:
• A Florida resident.
• An unexplained event, with no one else home but the spouse.
• A serious brain injury that could take years to overcome.
• An order to not release medical information to other family members.
• A hospice contacted in secret and a bed prepared.
• A spouse with the intent to remove a feeding tube.
The differences are heartening:
• A doctor finds out and informs the mom.
• Lawyers stay up late to prepare an emergency motion.
• A judge awards temporary guardianship to the mom.
• Mom is able to devote herself full-time to caring for her grown child and getting him the best in rehabilitation.
• A doctor who believes in LIFE.

I imagine all the negative publicity that transpired during Terri's ordeal will have an impact on cases such as this. So Terri's fight will not have been in vain. She is saving lives even now.
Probably why Scott's wife isn't talking.
I feel sad that Terri's story is fading away, seemingly. I'm sure Gov Bush wants to sweep the whole matter under the rug. Well, I for one will NEVER FORGET!!!!!!!!
Yes, it is. It is also a shame that some people marry people that seem intent on killing them.
I think they hope the public does forget. We know that we'll have to get King replaced before a hope of getting better legislation. I wonder what the deal was that the Spineless-9 made. Did they make a compact to stick together on other bills, scratch each other's back on some other issues? For 9 Republicans to stick together on such a matter when they know that constituents view the GOP as pro-life really make sme wonder.
At least the judge is not Judge Greer.

Amen! I so agree. Terri was denied therapy by her so called husband. I also pray that Scott's health care will be directed by those who love him. Praying for Scott's mom to be given permanent guardianship.

Me too, ExPat. They loved her so much. It was so very obvious who cared about Terri - Her MOM, DAD, Brother and Sister.

I don't think so, and we all miss her.
Her last post was 4/23 and she stopped posting unexpectedly and without notice.
I was going to say, I don't know if anyone knows how to reach her outside of F.R., but I just realized I still have one old REGULAR email from her aol.com account.
I will try to reach her there. My guess is that maybe a close relative may know of her email account, but not her freep account.
