6 Found Dead in Bellefontaine (Ohio)

The Logan County Sheriff's office says six people were found shot to death early Sunday morning in the town of Bellefontaine. One victim survived.

Decputies say the victims include four adults and two teenagers. The surviving victim is a female teenager, who was taken by helicopter to Miami Hospital.

That victim was able to call a friend and that friend notified police.

The bodies were found in two farmhouses within a half-mile of each other. Four victims were found on the first and second floors in one home. Two other victims were found in the other home. Both are owned by the same family.

Investigators are not sure if the same person did all the shootings but they are not actively searching for a suspect. They also do not have any clues yet about a possible motive.

Investigators have scheduled another news briefing at 7PM Sunday evening.

Either that or one helluva family feud.Grandma and grandpa in one house kids and grandkids in the other and the kids being teenagers there could have been a barred beau. Never can tell about these things with so little info to go on.

Possible. Would like to have an update on this. We are having major problems in our small towns with drugs being brought in from Detroit. It figured in the killing of four young people in Huntington, WV this past week I found out that the Detroit connection is here in our little town. Our Keystone cops here have no clue how to handle this.

I didn't take that statement as such, how do you search for someone if you don't have a clue as to who it might be, They usually mention possible murder/suicide if it is obvious

I seem to see this phrase a lot. What gives? You can't dial 911, but can call a friend?

Thats just my hunch. You could be right.

The article doesnt give us much to go on.

In any case, its sad and seems to be happening more often.

I think often these types of cases are a dumped boyfriend or husband who went crazy. A meth head or buglers would probably not know of the other family residence, but a dumped X would.

So are there 7 people involved or 6? If not 7 people, then the sixth person shot to death survived?

And probably known by the family, small town and all that. Not unusual for kids living close to parents in rural setting.
