About Us:

Our vision is a Republican Party that is unified by the basic tenets of fiscal responsibility and personal freedom, but that allows for diverse opinions on social issues by its members.

IMP-PAC is chaired by Christie Todd Whitman, a lifelong and loyal Republican and a leader of the party’s moderate wing, who served in the Bush cabinet as the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from January 2001 to May 2003. Prior to that, she was the first female elected governor of New Jersey, serving two terms from 1993 to 2000.

Advisory Board:

Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE)

Susan Cullman

The Honorable Robert J. Dole

Lewis M. Eisenberg

David Eisenhower

Julie Nixon Eisenhower

President Gerald R. Ford

The Honorable Michael Huffington

Honorable Nancy Kassebaum Baker

Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ)

The Honorable Amo Houghton

The Honorable John McCain

The Honorable William G. Milliken

Congressman Rob Simmons (R-CT)

The Honorable Alan Simpson

Candace L. Straight

The Honorable William Weld

Well .. if Hillary is in the race .. the media will not pay any attention to McCain. With an ego like his, I doubt he realizes that. The media only love McCain because he will diss the repubs - they don't care about him for any other reason.

I have a hard time seeing McCain without envisioning Napoleon. A little guy who is full of himself while all the "little people" do his bidding.

"Napoleon"

That's a good comparison for McCain. You're right - he's so full of himself.

I'm going to be really upset if he gets the nomination .. because I don't want to have to vote for him in order to keep Hillary from winning.

I repeat, but I believe it. McCain cannot win enough primary votes in enough states to win the nomination. Party activists simply will not support him well enough for him to win.

It's just like Al Gore calling the CONSTITUTION a 'living document. A party that believes and stands for anything and everything, stands for nothing.

I couldn't agree with you more. The only reason to believe the Constitution is a living document is to justify changing it to suit one whim or another. If the Constitution can change that easily, it justifies whatever issue you want it to.

I do too. Nothing is certain but it makes sense as far as Colorado is concerned.

What these people are is RINOs. Moderate means a person without solid convictions for sale to the highest bidder. An idiot that wishes to appeal to the nonexistent "center" invented by the MSM. Their appeal is to Wafflers, people who have no clue why they are on this planet.

Perhaps, but I appreciate all their votes in our elections. For the obvious example, someone who is conservative on every single issue except abortion should not be rejected by our party. Or any other single issue for that matter. Fundamental fairness means the more conservative majority opinion prevails in party politics. However, we still respect differing opinions and we continue to work together on all the issues we agree upon.

"party’s moderate wing"

  1. The Honorable Robert J. Dole (lost presidential election)
  2. President Gerald R. Ford (never elected President)
  3. The Honorable John McCain (never will be elected President)
  4. Christie Todd Whitman (RINO supreme)

Yep we definitely need to remember these losers.

I don't think it has been moderates that have been giving republicans its victories the past 12 years?

Moderates would rather have tie or lose out right than be a winner!

I don't suggest electing them. I just accept their votes as their willingness to support conservatives the majority of the time, because we appeal to the many positions they agree with.

Bottom line: When we have a candidate (like a Reagan or Bush) that can keep ALL facets of the Republican Party together, we win.
We lose when we run a John McCain.

I am forced to agree with you, even though I am firmly pro-life in regards to abortion. I consider myself a staunch conservative and loyal Republican, even though I do not generally support capital punishment. I don't feel strongly enough about my non-support to join candlelight vigils or anything, but it's still at variance with the platform.

We got all bent out of shape, and rightly so, at the "moderates" who cut the deal last week on judges. We wouldn't even call them Republicans.

However, those "pro-choice" moderates cast votes FOR a Conservative (presumably pro-life) judge, and it made the difference in the confirmation tally.

If Robert J. Dole is Bob Dole, is there any wonder why he lost against Clinton? And, Any wonder why Gerald Ford never won the election?

Exactly....

Look at the field of who is out there right now of possible contenders, sure it is early, and see who seems to do that the best....
