Day Five Summary of WA Governor Election Challenge
Sound Politics ^ | 05/27/05 | Stefan Sharkansky

Posted on 05/28/2005 6:33:18 AM PDT by SW6906

We can't seem to get a good LIVE thread going here on FR, but they have them each day - each part of each day - over on Sound Politics. Here is a summary of Day Five, the Republicans rest their case. As with FR, the comments have good analysis and input, but you have to wade through a lot of chaff to find the wheat. Here they are in chronological order:

Day Five Morning

Democrats Move to Dismiss

Day Five Afternoon

Day Five Closes with Democrats Helping Prove Rossi Case

BTTT. BTW, I'm not trying to peel people off to Sound Politics, I just thought some here might be interested in what is going on.

Thanks for the summary. With other things going on it's been pretty hard to keep up.

I think this is why we can't get a good live thread going on FR: this thread has been up for 20+ minutes and you're the only comment besides my pings.

For the life of me, I can't understand why no one outside of Washington state seems interested in this contest.

I always read these threads, and I live in Virginia. I just don't always post a reply. I'm looking forward to seeing the right resolution to this crime.

Thanks, Theo. There are some out-of-state people posting over on Sound Politics too. I was going to write that I am befuddled why the national media doesn't seem interested in this story when it dawned on me that it is for the same reason we'e getting piss-poor coverage from our local media: it is the Democrats who have stolen this election and they are having their methods exposed in court. Their willing accomplices in the media want to cover that up as much as possible.

I still don't get why there doesn't seem to be that much interest on FR.............

It's a nice sunny morning in the East. After about 10 days of rain, including a Nor'easter, most folks are probably out checking their lawns, or maybe even planning a trip to the beach (wearing jackets and ties, of course).

Corrupt political practices in Seattle, although rare, are not surpising at all. It was simply a matter of time until your Liberals showed their true totalitarian/anti-democratic natures and stole an election out in the open.

You'all are going to have to do something about that, and it's not just for this one little, bitty election.

Huh? They're not rare at all. It's only the complicit media keeping them hidden.

There was a book written on Seattle corruption in the 70s, "On the take: from petty crooks to presidents" by William Chambliss. His thesis was that capitalism is the source of corruption -- and he chose Seattle for his target city. He was told back then he'd picked the wrong city, that Seattle was "clean."

He found it anything but, and some bit of corruption came to light and laid bare some of the "machine's" workings. He then went on to a very interesting exercise detailing the channels of power and control, right down to the mechanisms keeping the press in check.

Corrupt political practices aren't rare in Seattle -- only their revelations.

There don't seem to be many people on this morning. I posted a couple articles for a ping list of over 100 members (I think), one an hour or so ago, and only a very few have viewed them. I won't be on for long myself.

I'm in Arizona, and I'm very interested in this story. It never made any sense to me how a Republican could win the election and the first re-count, but it was only the SECOND re-count, when a Dhimmie-Rat "wins", that "counted." That was the REAL, official re-count. On what planet? What kind of world do we live in now, anyways???

For the life of me, I can't understand why no one outside of Washington state seems interested in this contest.

I have been in 5 states (on the east coast) since the election. I watch for and read ANY thread I can find on this issue. I have commented a couple times. I found this outrageous since day one.

If 2 or 3,ooo Washington residents would have hit the streets in protest, perhaps it would have gained some national attention. Those that think the corruption only effected the governor's race, must be delusional.

"As I watched the examination of Nicole Way earlier this week it appeared to me that she sees her job in King County is to help perform a submission of electoral summary for the purpose of electing liberal democrats."

It amazes me how two people can see a person so differently.

I saw Nicole Way as a person who believed in a fair election.

She reported to the higher ups long before the General election began that the DIMS system they were using (for the first time) was not tracking ballots like it should.

I'm from Utah and also interested (also wondering why there isn't more coverage (guess that's a no-brainer)).

The ol' best 2-out-of-3 should have taken care of this one.

Seriously, I know this isn't funny, and hope the dims get exposed and trampled.

Please don't misinterpret a lack of responses as a lack of interest. Many of us are following these Washington election threads fairly closely but don't necessarily have anything substantial to contribute to the discussion.
