I wouldn't be surprised if these degenerates are going to use his death as a means of promoting "The Longest Yard" (a 'remake' of the original).
Hope this man RIP

Just saw him in an old movie the other day. Time marches on, and gives no regard to anyone.

Dang. I am currently watching Green Acres Season 2 on DVD.
One of the finest (and funniest) actors ever on television and on the screen.

After enlistment in the Navy, I served at Tarawa on an amphibious attack transport, where I was conspicuous for transporting dozens of wounded Marines under fire. Decades later my WWII actions were recognized with a belated award of the Bronze Star with combat "V"....:

When a man displays the bravery that he did at Tarawa then he is deserving of respect as an American patriot no matter what his misguided political beliefs.
He was also married for 40 years until his wife passed away in '85.

Okay, I'll say it.
He just couldn't stand to see one of his favorite movies remade with Adam Sandler.

Green Acres one of the all-time best comedies.

I can probably count on one hand the number of celebs whose marriages last that long.

Yes, he was. IIRC, he was coxwain on an assault boat at Tarawa. He was sometimes interviewed as an eyewitness in documentaries. Another hero gone.

He told a funny story about telling Eva Gabor that her stoles were made from bird feathers. Didn't seem to bother her any at all! Can't find the link to it, though.
