On Saturday, May 28: The final 3-mile stage of the Iran Freedom Walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. in front of Union Station (50 Massachusetts Ave. NE) in Washington, DC. Map
The Iran Freedom Foundation is made up of American and Iranian scholars, professionals, philanthropists and human rights advocates who have joined together to support the rights of the Iranian people.
After prolonged negotiations, the EU3 and Tehran have averted an international crisis by deciding to wait until August to resume nuclear talks, which would be after Irans presidential election in June.
The decision came after a three-hour meeting in Geneva with Irans chief nuclear negotiator Hassan Rowhani. ............. More...
Walk for Freedom
On May 16, Dr. Jerry Corsi, founder and primary spokesman for the Iran Freedom Foundation, set off on a journey aimed at strengthening ties between Americans and Iranians and calling attention to the need for peaceful change in Iran.
Jerry is walking from the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC.
A Terrorist Regime
For decades, the fanatical mullah-controlled regime that rules Iran has supported radical Islamic terror organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, while brutally suppressing the rights of the Iranian people. Now the mullahs may well be on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons.
Since Iran's clandestine nuclear program first came to light in 2002, the regime has pursued delaying tactics, repeatedly submitted false or incomplete information to inspectors, and failed to comply with a series of requests by the International Atomic Energy Agency to allow greater access to its nuclear facilities. See Iran's Nuclear Time Line for the details.
Nuclear weapons in the hands of the current Iranian regime pose an unacceptable threat to international peace and security. The mullahs are unfit to rule Iran, and the Iranian people should be free. The Iran Freedom Foundation has been created to pursue this goal. This site will focus on the situation in Iran and provide information about our efforts.
Let Freedom Ring!
On March 3, five hundred sixty-five courageous Iranian scholars, intellectuals, journalists, students, artists and politicians took a stand against the mullahs' regime. They are not alone.
Support freedom for Iran. Sign our petition. Join us at our Iran Freedom Rallies and on the Iran Freedom Walk beginning on May 16. And help us support the nationwide boycott and protest of the mullahs' rigged June 17 elections.
Leftists of DC Anti-War Network are planning a counter-demonstration. http://www.dawndc.net
I won't be able to go to this, but wanted to let you know. One might be able to make some good contacts at this event.
Leftists plan protest of the event. http://www.dawndc.net
I'm sure the Iranian marchers will handle the DAWN ninnies with greater tolerance than the Ayatollahs would their opponents.
Perle got a show thrown at him here in Portland when he debated Dizzy Dean. Meaning hes a great speaker if Peoples Republik of Portland hates him
The more and more the Leftist protest against freedom, the more and more that America and the world sees their hypocrisy, thus, the more and more the common sense people will turn them out and their voices will just become background noise.
Let's see, the rally is for freedom for the people of Iran who are forced to live under an oppressive, tyranical, cruel, abusive murderous theocracy that's trying to build nuclear weapons and that engages in and supports terrorism.
So what part of that are they counter-demonstrating?
Cats or Spamalot? Sorry, but I couldn't resist. :)
Ping to #2...
Iran Freedom Rally ping.
There may be a hot time in the old town this weekend as Bikers from all over descend on DC for their annual Ride to the Wall and the Freedom Rally all at once hit in there saturday. Not sure I would want to be a peace demonstrator when the Viet Nam Bikers hit town.
Looking forward to the DC report. Thanks for the ping, and greetings from Costa Rica.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for post. Those in Iran that seek freedom from a tyrantical regieme will continue to workd toward that goal.
Obviously the Mullahs will continue to stay in power until
the people revolt in mass. They can't expect us to wage a
total pre-emptive strike against their country's total infra-
structure, and send in full divisions of ground troops as we did in Iraq. Their cause must be driven from within.

I second your statments. Iraq as it slowly becomes a modernized democracy with a secular government in place, surely will help aid those in Iran to see that their dream for freedom is in bounds. It took them 20 some years to full into this morass, it may take another 20 to remove all traces of radical Islamic rule from power. Meanwhile those 50 some Mullahs continue to age. The ones that replace them being much younger may not be quite so set in their ways.
Guess time will tell. Once they manage if they do, to obtain nuclear devices, and the world knows about it, they are put into an even more precarious position. Surely many in Iran understand this.
BUMP
Thanks for the ping. The anti-freedom demonstrators probably ensure that more of the media will be there.
