I'm conflicted on this one.
I want political retribution for what DeWine did...but OTOH, I'm not sure I want to dump the sins of the father on the son.
For all we know, DeWine Jr might have disapproved of what his dad did.
If there's a concerted effort to knock DeWine Jr off in the special election primary, I'm afraid the MSM will get ahold of it and say "Gee, look at these evil Republicans. They can't get back at the father so they take their frustrations out on the son". I can almost picture it now.

Anyone know if Ohio election law for primaries mandates a run-off if no candidate gets a majority?

Let him come out against his father's actions then.

He was capitalizing on his father's name during the campaigning... his dad campaigned for him several times.
So... if he's willing to use the DeWine name to his advantage when times are good, then it's only fair that he bear the brunt of the GOP wrath when times are bad.

No runoff... and this is a "safe" GOP district, so the winner of the GOP Primary is the defacto winner of the election.

The son benefits from his father's political career, connection, fundraising etc. So, he'll have to take the hit for his father's political actions. You can try, but you can't have it both ways.
