HH: John Podhoretz, your reaction to that little bit of drama {the crying sound bite}
JP: Cuckoo. I hadn't heard that. I am beyond belief, except for this one thing that cannot be stated too many times. In 1995, George Voinovich, when he was governor of Ohio, he was at the Cleveland airport. The President of the United States was in Cleveland, so there was a no-fly zone declared for the airport. And he insisted that his pilot take off, his personal pilot take off, despite the fact that there was a no-fly zone declared. And he got on the phone with the air traffic controller and said, what are you going to do? Shoot me down?
HH: I didn't know that story.
JP: As a result of that, in 1995, the Federal Aviation Administration fined George Voinovich $20,000 dollars for interfering with the good agency and, you know, the good order of the American aviation system. And for that man to claim that any other human being does not have the temperament to serve in a senior job, when he behaved that way...
Question: DOES VOINOVICH HAVE THE TEMPERAMENT TO EVEN CAST A VOTE IN THE SENATE?
Podhoretz ACED IT with the above response to Voindabitch's crying fit:

Funny nobody mentions McCain's infamous temper when deciding who is fit to serve our government.

Ed Muskie comes to mind... so does Tom Eagleton.

Temperment? We're beyond that, I think. Beyond Muskie and beyond Eagleton.
Voinovich is either severely compromised by extortionists or needs inpatient care. The little turntable in his microwave doesn't turn around anymore.

A crying jag on the floor of the Senate, broadcast and recorded for posterity. He's finished in the next election. For now, he's just an embarassment.

"And for that man to claim that any other human being does not have the temperament to serve in a senior job, when he behaved that way..." A classic case of 'projection' ....by Voinovich.

IMHO in Voinovich and Mccain it not their temperament it their stupidity and arrogance and their hate for America that sets them apart

Who else? I nominate Chafee and Lindsey Graham.

But it's ok when Voidovitch and McAsshat have tempers....but Bolton cannot.
To: Petronski
It seems to me, that the more compromised you are, the more you must make your home with the Democrats and their MSM. Only then can all your sins be forgiven. Kennedy, Clinton, Byrd, Frank....the examples are endless.

....is there something seriously wrong with Voinovich? I mean really, the guy tears up at a confirmation hearing, misses the hearings on Bolton; listens to the Dems disparage Bolton, then will not vote for the guy. What is up with that????

Who is it or what is it that that brings a US Senator to the point of tears? If Voinovich is that distressed, what is doing it, or who is doing it? His political career is over for sure.
To be against John Bolton appointment is one thing, but becoming a blabbering lumpodump on the Senate Floor!!?
We need our friends, with friends like the ones in the UN, we have identified our enemies. What threat has been made to Voinovich or the US?!
