That's why you are in first place! Pick up the easy points where you can. :)

I'm dropping the map in the mail tomorrow.Snail mail? Yep - that'll get here by years end. BTW, I can usually detect cooking hamburgers, hot dogs, oysters, shrimp and Johnsonville Brats from about a few hundred miles away.
If I'm in the area, you don't stand a chance. (OK, I maybe able to back away from the hat - but no promises on the fake mustache...)

Danica Patrick?
I'll keep an eye out for her!
In the 4th turn? Put up a big sign with FR on it!
Have a great time!

Oh yeah baby, I've been watching food channel all week, can smell it now! BAM!!
Qualifying...WOW, talk about some SPEED...This 600 is going to be a wild one I think. This business about 35 drivers automatically 'IN' and others having to get in on time STINKS.
Every driver should be considered EQUAL before a race. This blatent favoritism for some racers has got to suck the life from the so called 'lesser' teams.
There will be about 20 BuschWackers in the Busch race on Saturday afternoon...clearly these 20 will have some advantage on Sunday, having raced on this new, smooth track in traffic. They'll have some firm insight into their setups. Now, remember on Sunday, we start in sun and finish under the moon so the track WILL change...but can JJ run another domination race like last year?
I expect to see two grooves develop on the track as the track gets into the night. There will be bunches of cars sticking together and I predict 'a big one' EARLY in the race...there are some grudges building out there!

And a couple from
Jayski -
- Mikey Waltrip is leaving "Trackside" (he said he was too busy racing the NAPA and Aaron's rides), with the hot rumor on his replacement being Rusty Wallace.
- Rocket Man may start on the outside Sunday (would only affect him and Flash; everyone else would start normally).
- Greg Biffle is officially with Roush through 2008.
- NorthEast Medical Center (Concord, NC) is naming its new hospital after Jeff Gordon, with a significant contribution by The Jeff Gordon Foundation.

And finally a couple items from my local paper (
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) -
- The Milwaukee Truck race picks up a 1-year sponsor (a local Toyota dealer), will be called the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200
- The upcoming version of the Roush Gong Show (to fill one of the Truck rides in 2006) will be made into a documentary by the Discovery Channel (full details and application to the Gong Show available at Roush Racing).

What's up with that? Pole sitter gets the choice? Always. It's rarely invoked, and when it is, it's usually done on road courses.
