And Perot dropped out of the race, began spouting half-baked conspiracy theories about the Republicans, and tried to make a lame attempt to reenter the race when it was way too late for him to make a real impact. Besides which the guy was a fruitcake.
And don't tell me that I'm over my head because I'm taller than Patricia Ireland who apparently has a few inches on YOU!
See #353 above.
LOL! Now you will be called a "Bot" or worse ya know! :-)
That is not my screen name. I am one of the [near]-original posters on FR, and we started out with our real names [just to show we weren't afraid of the big bad wolf.] I am one of the very few that still uses it.
A fruitcake who took nearly 20% away from GHWB.
The RNC has lost me, (Me! A Die-Hard), how many more has it lost?
I stayed in the GOP camp until now, but I just can't stand anymore of this open borders, big government, borrow and spend GOP. I'm finished with the GOP.
How do you know I am not already?
Worse than the Senate Democrats who illegally leaked Appointee Saad's confidential FBI file?! Worse than the Senate Democrats who leaked CIA field agents names (Senator Leahy), leading to actual agent deaths in the field?! Worse than Senate Democrats such as Senator Rockefeller who illegally conspired to delay one Judge's appointment until *After* a certain trial case had been decided, in order to insure that a Clinton-appointed judge ruled the right way?! Worse than the Senators (e.g. Sen. Kerry) who went to Nicaraga to illegally deal with Communists?!
Worst President in history?! Oh please. How soon we forget Pres Carter giving away the Panama canal, cancelling the B-1 bomber, boycotting the Olympics, turning a blind eye to the French-lead anti-Shah movement in Paris that lead to Khomeni taking over our then-ally Iran, as well as getting caught with a Quarter Million Dollar bribe from Libyan Leader Khadafy in his brother Billy's bank account...
In contrast, the following is what President Bush accomplished in his first 48 months, with several of those months being hamstrung by a Democratic Senate "majority" due to Jumpin' Jim Jeffords' post-election nonsense.

Because you're still here.
Amen.
Another day, another clueless rant that tickles the DUmmies pink.
And, thanks to him and people who thought like you, we had to endure eight years of Bubba. Happy now?
Hey, this is Free Republic, don't use facts. It will only enrage the Bush haters. Some on FreeRepublic always have and always will hate President Bush, usually because he won't do whatever they demand on their pet issue. Most likely they didn't vote for him and haven't voted Republican in decades if ever.
not as long as klintoon and jimmah catah is still listed as ex-prezs.
Yes, it does seem as though Reagan's actions / words were somewhat contradictory but I think he probably had to toe the line with big business and support legalizing the 2.7M newcomers during that time frame but he did also point out that " a country that can't protect it's borders is not really a country any longer" (paraphrase). If you've followed some of the material available on the FTAA and it's ramifications on America there's no doubt in my mind that there's a move afoot to create an American Union ala the EU and illegal immigration is the conditioning agent to force us accept the new paradigm despite our opposition.
After watching some of the current machinations regarding the EU's drive for a new constitution and decreasing of individual national sovereignty for it's members it's clear to me that as the FTAA/American Union proceeds we'll someday see a tremendous assault on our Constitution, BOR and our legal system. This new supranational gov't. will have it's own commissions and legions of bureaucrats available to make sure our transition to a third world style banana republic as seamless as possible. Of course all this nonsense started a long time ago but this current push for a hemispheric union has accelerated tremendously under Bush and his cronies.....no matter that countless Americans have been raped, robbed, murdered, etc. by cretins who would not be here if we had a coherent border policy and for that he will go down in infamy.
Nope.
Are you getting the point yet?
I will... I HAVE abandoned the GOP for an option that will someday work.
The GOP has shown itself to be worthless.
