Galveston is a good three hours from Austin and Padre is a dreaded 8 or 9.

We recognize that we are the evil twin. But life is good here, even with the proliferation of liberalism.
Hillary raised most of her money with the hispanics in So. Texas - and specificially Tony Sanchez and the gang of marauders. That should give us all cause for concern since Texas will be Tejas pretty soon.

I must be the only Texan who's never been to Padre.

Oh, thought you were speaking of Houston.
I can make it to Galveston in about 5 or 6 hrs from here.

Actually I do like Austin, much prettier than Dallas. We used to live in Copperas Cove, just close enough to run down to Austin for shopping and good restaurants.

I thought it was so funny when Gore/LIEberman kept campaigning in Texas -- talk about a waste of money. I am with you votes are what counts and Austinites throw their money and votes away every time we elect a new President in recent years.
Clinton came to San Antonio in 1996 and had less than 2000 people there -- my oldest daughter covered it for the UTSA paper when we lived there. That spoke volumes to me about the support of RATs for President. Hillary also cut short her visit through the Texas Hill Country when she was heckled and had few supporters turn out for her visit.
Dole won Texas -- not worried about TX money from the RATs going to Hillary -- they don't control the votes.

There are FReepers in Austin. We are a part of Texas. Now how did I know it wouldn't be long before an Austin FReeper spoke up? LOL!
You didn't get rid of your Aunt Maggie because she drank water out of the toilet, did you?
No, but Aunt Maggie isn't a liberal. If she were, I would have considered closing the lid on her a couple of times. :)

It's 'cause we have lots and LOTS of people. We're a real big state. Yep. It's how we get 'em in the FReepathons (sometimes) too!

also remember than JFK was advised Dallas was a waste of time....

Hillary also cut short her visit through the Texas Hill Country when she was heckled and had few supporters turn out for her visit. Thats hilarious! Wish I would have seen it. She wouldnt go over well in FW either.
This donation could be from one leftist fool with more money than wisdom, it might be worth 400 grand to him for this article that imples Hillary is popular in Texas...President Bush's state. It sounds far fetched but they are crazy.

No one has said all Texans are smart. Here in my area of Texas is 66% socialist democrats and they support their own and Hillary is one of them. When the socialist need money they come running to the Rio Grande Valley and collect their dues. These un smart Texans pour the socialist all their penny, nickles, dimes and dollars and kiss the Clinton's butt and send them back to NY with pride.

I remember that -- if JFK would have lived, he would have lost Texas IMHO for his treatment of LBJ and having all that New England crowd around him who made fun of Texans.

It was one of the funniest things I saw -- she made several stops, was heckled, and left Texas to never return during the election to the Hill Country which means she is probably even more bugged with Pres Bush winning twice.
