Since you are so anxious to convict her....why don't you go down and try the case yourself. Better yet...form a lynch mob. You seem so worried about putting strain on law enforcement....you could save them and the courts the effort.

Seriously, you need to get a grip! Besides the above idiotic remarks, accusing me in Private Mail of wanting to put this woman in jail is going off the deep end. I never said such a thing and didn't read where anyone on this thread wants jail time for her. I simply want this woman punished for her stupid stunt, mainly because she deserves it AND as a deterrent to other would-be attention seekers.

If she gets off with a misdemeanor and a fine, that's okay with me, but she should have to pay some consequences. Unless your a relative of hers, I'm baffled at your vitriolic reaction to the indictment. If its because of my "cheap shot" remark about being glad you're a former procecutor, I apologize.

Can it be demonstrated that society will be safer with the her locked up? If not, to do so would be a waste of taxpayer money and a miscarriage of justice. A prison sentence doesn't fit the crime in this case. Make her work to repay the costs she incurred with her false report to police.

This isn't a popular opinion but - I feel kinda sorry for a woman who makes up such a story and runs away from home instead of talking to her family and fiance.

What kind of life does she have if she can't sit down with mom and dad and say - "Hey, I'm having 2nd, 3rd and 4th thoughts!"

Sad really. She thought this was her only outlet.

PS.. no flaming - I know most of you disagree.

Incarceration is for punishment as well as for the safety of society. She has five priors, and staged her own abduction and rape.

Smoking Gun has the uncensored version. Just type "wilbanks" into the search.

" he seemed like a decent guy.

I think so too. But he looked bored to me. Maybe that's why they were getting married! Lots of entertainment value and broken furniture caused by love-making:):)

My initial impression of her is that she isn't very responsible (as in taking responsibility for her actions). The mature thing would have been to talk to the person she was going to marry and then her family about her concerns.

Agreed - but she didn't.

I wonder why she didn't even talk to her parents.

Very sad indeed.

PS.. no flaming - I know most of you disagree.

If she didn't have that rap sheet for shoplifting, and apparently slept with every heterosexual male in north Georgia I might agree with you.

Turns out that the NY Post tracked down Jennifer former lover in New Mexco, turns out she was going to see him.

Not according to the interview he gave to local TV here in NM.

She's 32.

That's about 14 years past when Mom ceased to be responsible for her.

A Gwinnett County reporter said that he understood that an agreement has been made for $13,000 to be paid, but that it had not been signed yet. I heard that hours later than I heard about the $14,000 on the national news.
