He's probably in Syria right now. But how long he's in that country remains to be seen. I doubt he would flee to Iran, given that the Shi'a Muslims would kill him in no time flat (Zarqawi is a Sunni Muslim and Shi'a and Sunni Muslims don't like each other).

Sounds familiar. Bin Laden disappeared when it got too hot in the kitchen and rumors were spread that the holy warrior was wounded. Now al-Zarqawi is pulling the same scam. This must be the standard cover story when Allah's top jihadists run away.
