LIBERTAS, Meet Ann Coulter!

Last night Govindini and I finally got a chance to meet one of our favorite people - the great Ann Coulter. A lot of our friends have been calling Govindini “the brunette Ann Coulter” for a while, so it was great to finally get these first-class conservative babes together!

We met in West LA at an event put together by our pal Ron Smith at Free Republic, and we want to thank Ron and everyone else there last night for making it such a fun evening.

A minor footnote: more traffic is driven to the Liberty Film Festival site by Google image searches for “Govindini Murty” than by any of my rambling posts … so now, guys, you have more photos of Govindini - together with Ann. Never say LIBERTAS doesn’t bring you the sexiest women on the web today!

Oh, darn, she's taken (as if I had a shot).

Writer-Director Jason Apuzzo recently finished his debut feature, the film noir thriller Terminal Island . Jason was mentored in this project by Irvin Kershner (dir., Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back ).

Cool! I had said for years that Kershner directed both the best and the worst movie sequels of all time; Empire Strikes Back, and RoboCop 2. Turns out that Kershner was pressed into duty for RoboCop 2 -- something about having to wrap the whole thing in two months -- so I can't blame him for that completely.

RoboCop 2 is the only movie that has ever made me want to see a pre-teen kid shot in the head, and that's a bad feeling. If you've seen the film, you know what I'm talking about.

I **will** be, eventually -- as soon as her final negotiations for the venue are completed, in the next week or two.

Govindini knows better than to tell me anything TOO early in the process, as my genetic aversion to keeping "secrets" could complicate her plans. :o)
