Frist's first interview since the musshy middle announced their deal. As far actual news goes - Rush called Frist's office and at this point all judges will get a vote.

I am so disappointed in you caving in to the democrats and not standing with the President you were elected to support. I have many friends who now call you a RINO - Republican In Name Only. We have a true statesman for a Governor. He looks out for the best interest of the people no matter what the cost, and the people of SC see him for the statesman he is. He also had the courage of his convictions when he represented the 1st district of SC. I had hope you would measure up to his stature, but alas you chose to be popular with the NY Times and the Washington Post.

I had strongly supported you against Alex Sanders. I could never vote for someone like him, and now I cannot cast any future votes for you. Please know that my donations, even though they are small, to the RNC will now cease. I will only donate to the individual candidates that stand by their convictions.

If Ronald Reagan had chosen the easy way, there would still be a Soviet Union and Berlin Wall. If George W. Bush had 'compromised' Saddam Hussein would still be killing his own countrymen, and Islamic terrorists would have struck again because they know weakness can be exploited.

There is a saying that the minority is protected from the 'tyranny of the majority.' Well you have failed in protecting the majority from the 'tyranny of the minority'. You may think you have done a good thing. Tell me when was the last time you have known liberals to be trusted? Not anytime on this planet.

I got a feeling that Graham is going to back out of this agreement. If he doesn't the first time he votes against one of the presidents judges, they toss him out of the committee. This is/was OUR political party, not some click of senators deciding for the whole party.

Here's what Graham had to say on another thread; comparing the heroism of our soldiers to his decision to try and end the filibuster.

Republican South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham, in a just-concluded interview with Judy Woodruff of CNN's Inside Politics, somehow managed to compare his support of the filibuster deal with the bravery of our soldiers dying in Iraq.

He said: "Over in Iraq, we have soldiers dying and others being wounded, and all of them are subject to being shot at. They didn't have to volunteer to join the military. And I didn't have to change my vote to support this filibuster plan. But I did it for the good of the country."

After listening to the weasel from SC, I honestly think he's a naive bumpkin who got snookered by McCain and his fellow RATS.

Don't forget (according to Rush) Graham headed up McPrick's SC committee in the 2000 primary.

Exactly. If he does that, it will be the last straw. I have said many times that the left has pulled the political system so far over to their side that now the Republicans are really democrats. They look like leftists compared to our founding fathers.

Actually, Lindsey Graham isn't up for reelection until 2008, since he was elected in 2002 (replacing Strom Thurmond). If Governor Sanford chooses not to run for President in 2008, he could kick Graham's behind in the GOP Senate primary and coast to victory in the general. But if Gov. Sanford runs for President, our best bet to beat Graham in the primary is probably U.S. Attorney Strom Thurmond, Jr., who will be like 35 years old in 2008.

Man Graham IS a naive goober. That may have worked with the other six dopes he teamed up with, and the democrat party who loves to drag out dead soldiers whenever possible but if he was looking for this to somehow sway Republicans to his "cause" he is VERY VERY mistaken.
