Report from Chappaqua: The "Agreement" Hillary has lost the WH, forever, and more, much more..
one man's opinion....
Posted on 05/24/2005 8:09:56 AM PDT by ken5050
The compromise deal announced last night on judicial nominations will one day prove to be the opening strike in one of the greatest political battles ever waged in this country. There is much sadness in Chappaqua, for Hillary Clinton has today realized that any remote chance she ever had a becoming president has now evaporatated forever. And the Democrat party may well be in its final states of existence, its death throes, as we know it today. Follow along, as together we peel back the layers of the political onion to unearth the truth...

I stopped reading half-way through. LOL. I'll be kind with my remarks, although it's difficult. No way conservatives of any stripe will ever support this RINO traitor for any office.
Are you Linsey Graham?

I have to agree with you - McCain did phenomenal duty in Nam and should be greatly respected for it, but that does not make him a good politician nor is it a reason to vote for him. I also think his experiences in Nam affected his mind and judgement.

It's not like voting in Republicans gets us GOP judges, so what's the alternative? So pathetically, freaking true.

Oh great, a Nixon for the 21st Century.
Demagogue and situational decision making instead of principled service.
Ken ol' buddy, I haven't had lunch yet and so now I have to think about this as a possibility.
You are correct that McCain takes the principle guided base for granted, seeing them as neither the force they perceive themselves to be and partially able to be diffused by events of primaries and pragmatism.
That being said, the primary fight will be bloody and nasty. We will see McCain at his worst and he will then sacrifice anything to get what he desperately wants. Chris Mathews will have to have tissue in his lap while broadcasting. It will be enough for me to be so sickened by the whole process that I loose all interest.
You really know how to ruin a guy's day with speculation don't you, LOL.

1. Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee in 2008. The only possible way she isn't, is if she chooses not to run.You lost me right there. She's no lock.

John McCain knows that he can easily beat Hillary in the general election.
No way. Hillary easily beats him as the conservative part of the Republican party stays home. There really is no difference between McCain and Hillary. We saw him sell out the Republicans yesterday. No way he can win after yesterday.
To: ken5050
I'd vote for Hillary over McCain if I had no other choice - and I absolutely detest Hillary and everything she stands for. That just goes to show you my feelings for McCain, who I once thought was a pretty good man. He is worse than an enemy you face. He is a enemy disguising himself as a friend.
McCain is finished!

In simple terms... the Dems asked the Republicans to 'step outside'. The Republicans replied Wait a second... lets make a deal!
The only thing left for them to do is put on a skirt and take up field-hockey.

I think they didn't employ the nuke option because the Repubs are as lazy and corrupt as the Dems and they just want to maintain a cozy working environment so they can both concentrate on their real goal of stealing more of our money and gaining more power. You nailed it , bb.
