Sounds very good against what may be a Rodham/Obama ticket for the Dems.A Rodham/Obama ticket? No way that would get elected!

I just heard him on Laura Ingraham. He is unafraid to speak out; he gets MY vote. Damn! The things I miss by being at work! What's Laura's take on The Compromise?

At first I was hesitant with supporting Allen cause he is a Senator, however, the more I hear about him, the more I like him. If he wins in 06 and he runs in 08 I'm supporting him..

What's Laura's take on The Compromise? Here in Austin, they have her first hour from 11 - 12 and the other from 9 - 11. Kind of weird hearing her second and third hours live and then the start at 11, so I don't know how she started her program.
The second and part of the third hour have been filled with outrage at the RINOs for the most part.
I am PO'ed to say the least. Note new tag line as of today.

I'm looking more toward the liberal women's vote. The women I associate with just detest the thought of Hillary as she's hard looking, really bad body, angry, shrill, lots of baggage.i.e. slick & national health care, "takes a village" mentality, etc., etc. etc. P.S. imagine Hillary in stiletto boots!!!

Same here. I didn't even know what the man looked like, but I caught him on one of last Sunday's talking-heads shows, and I was impressed by his ability to handle the gotcha questioning rather adroitly.
He appears to be someone worth watching.

Rush has spoken highly of George Allen as a man and as a contender when his name has come up on his show in the last couple of months. So far, I'm behind George Allen. He appears to be a rising political star.
McVain is finished. His head is just too inflated for him to realize it.

Condi has never run for anything and I don't think she has the desire/fire/ego to be a candidate. She is more of the intellectual mold. Saw downthread someone favoring Elizabeth Dole, but that might be too southern a ticket with Virginia and NC (only Democrats can run two southerners from adjoining states). I could go for Coleman with Allen. That would be MY dream ticket. It's not as if the Republicans are lacking for young, charasmatic, electable candidates.

Since Warner resigned from the Republican Party last evening, it puts Allen in a very strong position.

My favorite is Allen. V/P is the tossup. I want a strong stance on illegals. How about Tancredo or J D Hayworth.

McCain thinks he has the "moderate" vote. Too me, 99% of moderates are people who do not like politics, do not have strong principles and are easily swayed by the MSM. I know, I used to be one (although I mostly identified with the not liking politicians part). I think the "moderate" voter pool is shrinking with the new phase of information out there, they are beginning to wake up to how politics affects them, and with louder voices on the conservative side, it is easier to turn right without being shunned.
Do you believe judges should have an up or down vote or don't you? Do you believe elections have meaning or don't you? Do you believe America is the best country to be a superpower or don't you? Do you believe socialism is bad or good? Answer the questions, "moderates."
Sorry, I'm sick of "moderates/centrists."

Rush is on here in a couple minutes. I'll bet half the radios in the country will tune him in to get his take on yesterday's events, LOL.
Me too!

Allen was Virginia governor, he was term-limited out. The Governor of Virginia is not allowed to run for re-election. AFAIK that has always been the case.
I wonder whether a Governor could skip a term then run again. Perhaps someone here more familiar with Virginia politics can inform us.
I find Allen infinitely preferable to RINO John Warner, VA's other Senator.

George Allen is my uy too, at this point.
His former governorship helps him tremendously!
Sets him apart from the other senators, since senators are rarely elected POTUS. JFK was the last one, and IMO, his wasn't really elected on the up and up.
I am mighty taken with John Thune too. Absolutely adore that man.
