That's an interesting twist. What can the President do to give them pain? Is it possible for him to go to the supremes and say the Senate isn't fulfilling thier constitutional obligations and demand an up or down vote.
It's sad to think that the Rats are acting like babies and taking the ball home since they can't win. The founders probably never imagined a senator NOT doing his job and obstructing the appointment of judges.
Recess appointments? Then when congress re-convenes, fillibuster any attempt to remove the recess appointees? Dems: Live they sword, die by the sword.
"It's sad to think that the Rats are acting like babies and taking the ball home since they can't win."
While I agree with your assessment, I think you're being much too generous to our Republican Senators.
They share in the guilt for this mess. They're unwilling to press the point. They're unwilling to take a stand.
They talk and talk about taking a stand, but they don't do anything. They're just fishing for a "comprimise" which always give the Dems a little more of what they want every time.
The Dems obstruct, and the Republicans pander to them even though they have the majority. It should be the minority party approaching the majority trying to win some concessions rather than the majority party begging the minority no to make them make a stand.
