Korea's birth rate plunged to an estimated all-time low last year, opposition Grand National Party lawmakers Ahn Myoung-ock and Yim Tae-hee announced Sunday.
Based on new births reported through the electronic family registry system of the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, they said the number of newborns nationwide was 481,085, down 12,300 from 2003.
The birth rate is estimated to have plunged to its lowest point ever at 1.15. The lowest total fertility rate recorded so far was the 1.17 recorded in 2002. However, official statistics could look different since the National Statistical Office publishes birth statistics as of the end of every June.
According to the registry figures, last year saw only half the 889,554 births Korea recorded in 1980.

Like most modern economies the women are getting married later, have careers, and tend to start having families later in life - which usually results in fewer children.
In Muslim countries the women don't have careers, get married at 13 and don't use birth control.

We've got to figure out a way to slip some birth control juice into their food supply. What do those people eat? Bugs? Grass? We could make tasty genetically engineered weeds or whatever with the stuff built in. Just drop a few billion seeds in their countries. They'll gorge themselves and go out of existence. Come on, let's figure this out, fast. We can do it. We are going to "control" ourselves into oblivion!

What's the problem with the South Koreans? Certainly their women are very attractive. Why don't they want to procreate?

I'm sure they're as sexy as ever. They just figured out life is simpler without kids. To hell with the future of your country and people! Live for today!
Same thing is happening in Europe. And, if we looks at Caucasians in the US, I be we'll see the same thing.

Yeah, Asian chicks are cute and sexy, but have you ever been to Hungary or Czech Republic? I mean, not to Budapest or Prague city center, where you find too many foreign women, but go in a small village or inside a club for local people, and you won't believe the awesome beauty of these gals!
East-European gals RULE!
