Under the agreement, Democrats would pledge not to filibuster any of Bushs future appeals court or Supreme Court nominees except in extraordinary circumstances.Everything's "extraordinary circumstances" to the Dems...!!! For crying out loud!!

So much for all the "political capital" President Bush earned in the last election... Surely, the Dems are going to look on President Bush as a lame duck now.

FLAME!!! These so called heroes in their own minds were congratulating one another on how they came together and could agree on saving the nation. From whom? Us? Where hell is the will of the people? Did anyone notice that Bird was smack in the middle of them? I am so angry I could spit!

You're not alone. My GOP membership has been hanging by a thread that just snapped. Those Senators obviously think they are above the Constitution and that it's their perogative to negotiate it away. I gave them a second chance after the campaign finance bill took away my 1st amendments rights for political speech. They obviously can't be trusted to honor their oath of office. "Cowards" is too kind a word.

Bush gets 3 of his MOST conservative nominees approved.
The Dems preserve the filibuster, but when there's an opening on the SC...what's to prevent Bush from nominating one of these three???
Are the Dems gonna use the filibuster on a judge they formerly approved?

stupid move. We need to band together and punt these people. Don't go wasting your vote on a 3rd party nightmare. Remember that little puke from Texas that helped us get 8 years of slick willie?
The GOP is in better shape now than ever, we just need some fine tuning. A good start will be the 7 RINO's that cause all the trouble.
Have you ever contributed to an opponent of the dirty 7 directly? Time has come to bypass the RNC and put your money in direct competition with the evil doers. That's how Daschle fell.
Don't go whimpering away, stand up and fight like a man.

You got that right.... Make the F'ing RINO's pay...

The GOP is now dead to me.Me too. It doesn't do a whole lot of good to campaign, raise money, get out the vote, and all that, when the RINOs just let the Dems run the show anyway...

Agreed. The objective now is the 8 judges. If all 8 pass, it is a win. So what if these eight pass? I'll bet that was the Dems plan along. Play real hard to get on the eight so Frist would compromise. They had probably planned to pass them all anyway. Those 8 would be NO victory, they are the booby prize. Sheesh!

I don't think you're right---at least not yet. So far, he is methodical. So far, we've got our one judge (batting 1000) and the Dems still have no leg to stand on. I'd check this out in a few weeks. If we get all 10 judges, I don't care about "face."

I hereby proclaim that I am no longer a Republican. I vow never to give any of my money, time or resources of any type to any Republican for the remainder of my life.
Demorats never got any in the first place and certainly won't get any in the future. I guess I'll have more time and money to give to more deserving organizations.
