Announce Filibuster Compromise
Bork is too old now. His years on thebench would be limited.
Ted Olson is my choice; born in 1940.
Still, I'd like to find 45 year old Scalia's to fill open SCOTUS seats during Bush's term...lol.
And yes, Alan Keyes is SO "YESTERDAY" and was last year as well.
You mean someone like Easterbrook or Richard Epstein or Posner - none of whom will never be nominated by Bush.
Of that's rich! LOL
What are you? 12? We've already established I live on a different planet than you. I live on Earth, not sure where you are FReeping from, but anyway, refute my points if you have the time and energy to do so Junior.
I have disagreed with Thomas twice and Scalia once so it doesn't surprise me that I would disagree with Judge Bork on occasion.
I think I have only agreed with Ginsburg on State's authority to limit punitive awards.
Since you have not cited one thing I have allegedly "twisted", I'd say your just trolling this thread.
Just keep on posting your spurious, puerile, childish codswallop; soon everyone will realize just what you are. :-)
You said that no one is forced to donate to social security. Are you nuts?
If I am a troll, you are a DUmmie.
Have at it! LOL
But what you wrote and I complained about, was neither a complete sentence nor understandable.
I will freely admit that I've disagreed with all the 9 judges at least once. I've come to the conclusion Gonzalez is highly qualified. I have yet to see one good reason given that he should not be nominated to the USSC bench.
I think it used to be easier to find Strict Interpretation judges.
I fear Gonzales.
I would be happy with a latino judge if W insists but he needs to be less wobbly than Gonzales.
He had to do some fancy dancing this week to cover his conflict with Owens.
...amongst other issues I won't bring up here...too late for serious bloodletting..lol
nite
You seem to think Gonzalez is a conservative. You are so stupid that someone told you Karl Marx is a conservative because he shares his first name with Karl Rove, and you bought the idea. No wonder everything you say is twisted.
He supported affirmative action policy of U of M and he thinks abortion by a teenager do not need parental consent. Is your head that far up your anus that you think he is a conservative?
Janice will do, although I do not know her age?
It was a Democrat plan, just like NCLB was Ted Kennedy's idea, and Homeland Security was Al Gore's brainchild. We can sit here and argue until we are blue in the face, but lets not let facts get in the way.
I can think of several but it's late.
Indeed, he would be better than Kennedy or O'Conner but he is no Scalia in my opinion.
I want more Scalias and Thomases....or Rhenquist at a minimum.
we'll see...maybe.
I see Democrats come up with these bad ideas and Bush implements them. What does that make Bush? Furthermore, Homeland Security was proposed after 9/11 a full year after the election. What does Al Gore have to do with it? It seems like Al Gore isn't the only one who exaggerates about himself.
Gonzalez is unfit to sit on the court. He thinks affirmative action is OK and he doesn't think our immigration laws need to be enforced.
He's too Conservative for you. "Extremist" as the Democrats would say. I'll bet if they found out he ordered subordinates around, you'd be red with anger, you'd be towing cars with that blood vessel popping on your forehead.
