"Frist ought to be spanked hard for not pushing the button last week. The Dems didn't have six turncoats last week. He waited too long. "
What? I thought Frist had the votes? He's been telling us for HOW LONG now that he's going to "pull the trigger"?
To: tiredoflaundry
First time DUers and Freepers pissed at the same time at the same thing! That should tell us all something about partisan politics, we all feel like we should win every game 100-0 and never have to even have the appearance of less than perfect success.
Remember the gnashing and wailing when Bolton was "lost" for a few weeks due to Voinovich? And now he will likely be confirmed. The country is solidly Republican and becoming more so. No need to paint everything as a big loss when it doesn't go exactly to plan.
We still need to see how this plays out.

Of course they are.
Any first year law student can see this is wide open for interpretation except for one thing - the agreement not to go Constitutional and pull the rule.
To: mabelkitty
Not in your lifetime. Frist is a slug; an invertebrate WITH even a shell.
To: xcamel
LOL! Good description. :)

We really don't know if the 3 will actually be confirmed. Supposedly, we're to be soothed that 3 get a vote. Why would anyone trust the 7 dwarfs that caved to the dims?
To: jern
What's my vote worth? What were my contributions to the cause worth?
If the forces of evil are gonna triumph irrespective of my support of the Republican party why should I bother to vote in 2006. Maybe another 40 years in the wilderness will hone the RINO's will to survive. Thanks for the memories. Dale.

Frist has 1)no spine 2)no leadership qualities 3) no future! He inherited all of those traits for Trent Lott.
To: Will_Zurmacht
I just don't get it! The Supreme Court has been making law, not interpreting it for decades. They find queer lifestyle acceptance, the destruction of the family, infanticide, rejection of the 10 commandments, etc in the Constitution as they see it. This was the high water mark of taking back our courts and letting them interpret law rather than make it! A handful of gutless wonders sabatoged a generation's effort to return our country to constitutional principles

Again, finally you accept reality.
Of course, in your mind, yours are wonderful.

De Wine is one of them. He's up in 2006, and his son is running for a House District out of Cinci. Please advise when and where I can send $$$$$ to both their challengers.

Can Frist be removed? For what? Being unable to convince the voters of Maine to vote for a more conservative Senator?
I believe Frist has done all he can to win this fight, so far - and it's not over. This is Round One.

Better than being an infant which is what you are. Brush up on basic common sense before you reply.

Can Frist be removed? If so, who might take his place?
If I were Frist I would be looping my necktie around a ceiling rafter about now. How that SOB can go home and face his family is beyond me.
