Bawahahhahaha...what a joke! Of course they turned out in record numbers, calif is 95% Hispanic with tons of relatives living in Mexico! Those Mexicans have a dream to recapture Ca. and return it back to Mexico. BTW, didn't this guy promise an open border policy with Mexico in his campaign pledge? Future name for that state is....California, Mexico! Californians, Be afraid, be VERY afraid!!

Funny how they never mention how all (>90%) the legal Latinos in the US are mad as hell ant the tsunami of illegals, ruining everything they've worked so hard to build.

And what really kills the "pro illegal" liberal moonbats is that legal Latinos are very conservative, and primarily vote republican nowadays...

To remain viable as a party, Democrats need to win Latinos back. At stake is nothing less than control of the presidency and Congress.
Conclusions of the U.S.-Mexico Migration Panel

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Playing the raza card...[snip]

In addition, they, along with his eminence, Mexican President Vicente Fox, believe they should be allowed to vote in our elections as well as Mexico's, even if they know less English than I know Greek

LULAC's apparent attempt to denigrate the meaning and value of U.S. citizenship extends to the franchise. In The 1998 LULAC Legislative Platform, the organization appears to condone, if not actually promote, the violation of this country's election laws. According to the section entitled ''Voter Registration and Citizenship'' ''LULAC actively encourages eligible Hispanics to fully participate in the democratic process and register to vote. We also encourage those who are eligible to become citizens'' (italics added). Since the law states one must be a U.S. citizen in order to be eligible to vote, the wording of this LULAC platform encourages voter fraud.

[snip]

• MALDEF successfully lobbied for passage of the ''motor-voter'' bill of 1993 that allows voter registration at welfare offices or when applying for a drivers' license; mandates mail-in voter registration and discourages States from verifying the applicant's eligibility or citizenship.

Latino power, Black power, seems all the minority groups can lay claim to militant organizations and slogans.

But, the damnable Gringo or Honky had better keep his mouth shut and his arse out of even daring in any manner having the audacity to promote European pride or culture.

Evil are the Europeans you know, pure evil.

Ahem, let me remind you that it was a race between 2 Democrats. The GOP had NOTHING to do with all this. So, L.A. (which is 1/2 Hispanic, I think) voted in a Mexican mayor. Is that really a surprise? Newsweak talks and talks . . .

Welcome to California! As your clothes are drying, you may vote at the first open booth to your LEFT. For a wonderful family experience, let the kids vote too.

NEWSWEAK. Hey isn't this liars who put out the "flushing the Koran" story? Their bias ranks about #10, and their credibility went down the toilet instead of the Koran.

In our family, "Latino Power" is what they contribute as conservatives to our society.

HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO VOTE FOR THE "RIGHT" KIND OF LATINA!!

Hey EVERYBODY, what a great chance at a political statement! Please nominate me, Rosanna Pulido for Latina of the year. WHY?

Some points you can use

1) was a member of the Minuteman Project in April 2005 on the Arizona border and successfully and peacefully secured our borders and stood up for the rule of law in America.

2)She is a stellar example that Mexican can follow the law and be successful.

3)She is an organizer of the Chicago Minuteman Project, who's group will expose politicians voting records and it will reveal if they have upheld their oath of office, which will make a more secure Illinois.

4) Her group will expose companies that hire Illegal Aliens instead of paying a decent wage to legal residence of Illinois.

5) Through her political activites in these areas, she is striving to insure that all Law abiding Mexican Americans can continue to pursue their American dream and trust that the state will be enforcing it's laws which is needed for a secure future for Mexicans in Illinois.

So why ain't they Hispanic? I thought Latino was Spain.

"Hispanic: related to or derived from the people or culture of Spain; 'the Hispanic population of California is growing rapidly'"

"stitched together the sort of multiracial coalition that has often eluded less-gifted politicians, Newsweek reports."

Dear Newsweek - please google 'Tom Bradley'.

Then try 'Gene Biscaluez' and 'Leo Carillo'.

It's not the 'multiracial' part I'm worried about, it's the MECHA before the other multiracials that worries me.

You can always tell if an article is slanted to the left by use of the word "Latino" versus "Hispanic". Most of the Hispanics I know call themselves "Hispanics" and not "Latino".
Of course, the fact that it's in Newsweak was a big clue too.

I can't imagine that someone as weak-kneed as Bush on immigration could capture the Republican nomination in 2008. Let's pray not. He's been, and remains, a disaster on protecting our borders.
