You have to live south of the Mason Dixon line to stomach RC.....much akin to the taste for "sweet tea"

Have we truly become the United States of the Offended?

It is more like the United States divided, where the slightest gesture is enough to send either camp into a frenzy. I wonder if Coke has signed up to fund the protest against Pepsi?

<< I guess it would be too much to ask that people actually read her remarks before sounding off ... >>

A good idea -- even though a bit knee-jerked.

But what is it about you that you feel exempts you from your own knee Jerk?

I'd suggest you cancel your exemption and have a bit of a read. Including post #35 and post #39.

Sam's Choice is made by RC. (Cott Corp.--Canadian) I don't drink a lot of soda but the Sam's Choice Caffeine Free Diet Cola is very good--much better than Coke's and better than Pepsi's and is my favorite of the Diet C-F offerings.

No. More like the United States of the Disgusted.

Disgusted that here is one more opportunity lost to inspire a group of young people with even one example of something that the US does right.

I remember the hideous "me and my RC-eeeeeeeeeee" TV commercials. They seemed to me, to take all the class out of what was at least a dignified if not very good beverage.

It's the disgusting kowtowing to PeeCee views of the world. Yeah I know she is an Indian so I wouldn't expect flaming American patriotism out of her. But why didn't she at least have the good sense to confine her comments to the merits of her company's business in snacks, cereals, and soft drinks? After all she was addressing a graduation of a business school, not a school of political science.

That picture looks almost like he and she are in a CHURCH!

The garb, and the Pomp and Circumstance, harken back to a time when Academia was part of the Church.

Exactly. The "ugly American" stereotype is preferred....

Can't tell these graduates that most Americans are kind, generous and many have bled fighting for the freedom we enjoy.

It must really stink when the world finds out your company's Pres. & CFO is an idiot.

Second, in her apology she called her mistakes "inadvertent" . . . ."

The inadvertance is in her failure to consider the consequences of her words, not the words as written, much as it is with Newsweak these days.

"Pepsico...pays all employees that are activated guard the difference between their military pay and what they earn at Pepsico."

That's very good. You are good to stick up for your employer. And you're not even pepsionice!

For some reason I've always noticed that those with liberal, socialist-leaning tendancies are more frequently associated with Pepsi, while those more red-blooded Americans, well-to-do, hard working rednecks tend to be more frequently associated with CocaCola products,....

or as a simple truism, Socialist bastards drink Pepsi and real Americans drink Coke,....

Likewise as any rancher can tell you, only Yankees place mayonaise on beef,...real Texans only use mustard if any garnish on beef. The mayonaise masks the flavor of the beef, while mustard brings it out.

Coke is the best beverage with Mexican food. The sweeetness kills to acidity or burning sensation of hot Mexican peppers. Pepsi tastes too salty with Mexican food.

Look! We are a military family from way back with children active duty now. I do not appreciate out child getting their butts shot at while some overpaid foreigner women tells future CEO's how bad this country is. I read her remarks and this is not a knee jerk reaction.

Pepsi with its stronger taste, usually survives the average soda fountain over-dilution better than Coke does. The Coke from many soda fountains tastes like brown water. The official canned or bottled Coca-Cola product is OK.
