HILL MAN HAD ME 'FIX' $$

Bretta Nock, a hired event planner, said Clinton's former national finance director, David Rosen, also ordered her to obtain an invoice that she believed low-balled part of the cost of the event in 2000.

She testified that Rosen told her that "the overall [budget] figure needed to project a lower cost, so hence, items were adjusted accordingly," she testified.
The altered budget, she said, "was to their liking." The budget documents that Nock prepared were circulated to various people involved in planning the 2000 gala.
The final budget set a cost for the concert portion of the event at $200,000 a figure Nock said came from Rosen himself despite his once saying the event cost at least three times as much.
She testified that Rosen had asked her to get an invoice with the $200,000 figure from the production company Black Ink Productions.
Nock said she also was told by Rosen to delete from the budget $20,000 that was paid to a graphics-design company and instead list it as an in-kind contribution.
Meanwhile, Rosen's lawyer Paul Sandler is still pushing to introduce part of a transcript from a conversation with Rosen that was secretly taped for the FBI in 2002 by Sen. Ted Kennedy's brother-in-law in which Rosen apparently declares his innocence.
Judge A. Howard Matz said he is inclined to keep the transcript of the conversation between Rosen and Kennedy in-law Ray Reggie out of evidence because "all that is being excluded is backdoor hearsay an assertion of innocence made out of court."

Lies alleged in Sen. Clinton fund-raiser
By Paul Chavez
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES An event planner testified Wednesday that she was ordered by the former national finance director of Hillary Rodham Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign to obtain a fake invoice connected to a Hollywood fund-raising gala. Bretta Nock told jurors that ex-Clinton aide David Rosen told her to get a $200,000 invoice for the concert portion of the event when the actual costs were much higher.
Rosen, 38, is accused of lying to the Federal Election Commission about the true costs of the August 2000 gala that drew celebrities, including Cher, Diana Ross, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Muhammad Ali. Prosecutors contend that Rosen deliberately caused campaign finance reports to be filed that claimed "in-kind' contributions of $400,000 for the Hollywood gala, when he knew that contributions exceeded $1.1 million.
Rosen has pleaded not guilty to three charges of filing false statements with the government. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, plus fines.
The case has been closely watched by Republicans hoping to scuttle Clinton's Senate re-election bid in 2006 and a potential 2008 run for the White House.
Clinton has not been charged in the case.
Peter Zeidenberg, of the Justice Department's public integrity division, presented evidence Wednesday showing that production costs for the concert had been budgeted at $400,000, but the amount was later reduced to $200,000 after the event.

--> NO! NO! I don't wanna move on! Hillary would NEVER lie about money. She's so honest and caring to the people she serves. I also believe Jacko is PeterPan, it's all for da children /SARC! :)
At the moment, there's still no proof that Hillary knew anything of it. I'm sure she did, but proving it in court is another thing entirely.
Herein lies the reason the tape is not being introduced. The feds got the goods via this gal and Rosen is the one that wants to put the tape in (so he won't have to take the stand)...

--> Your absolutely right. I know and we all hope that if Rosen needs to sing like a canary, that he does it. ;) If there's more to this case than meets the eye, he definately is seating on a hot seat.
Your absolutely right
It will be a bonus if Rosen sees that the goverment has him by the 'nads, and that it's time to start singing. But even if he doesn't, we still have the goods on Hillary. Hillary is a defendant in another case, a civil suit that starts later, also in Los Angeles. The fun doesn't really start until then. If you've paid attention, you'll notice that the DOJ has been quietly nailing and plea-bargaining with every person involved in this fundraiser: Peter Paul, Aaron Tonken, Jim Levin, Ray Reggie... and now it's Rosen's turn in the barrel. They have a whole choir of singers already, and they're on the verge of getting another one. Up the chain they go... You think Hillary isn't sweating? She's a fool if she isn't. |
Many moons ago, Dick Morris was on Hannity's radio show. Dick mentioned that the FEC may let a forgotten $10 lunch tab pass by - once - without being a big deal. Almost a half-a-million dollars were illegally documented at this 'gala'. At the time, Hillary was running out of loot. The illegal funds allowed her to advertise for two entire weeks before the election. Otherwise, she would've possibly lost that election. Oh, she knew plenty...
Hillary would be serving about a dozen consecutive life terms now if 1% of the rumors about her alleged criminal activity had any factual basis. Trouble is they don't and rumormongers like Dick Morris et al. are the real fools.

That's not the Hollywood crowd. These people don't need any favors that Bill and Hillary can grant. They'd as soon see those two rot in jail as look at them. And certainly before they're going to go to jail themselves. This deal has too many people in it, with too many pictures, and too many receipts, and too many lawyers to blow off with their usual act. Not even the media can save their butts this time, because what's coming isn't going to be in the court of public opinion. |
I do believe in miracles.
