Im surprised we are as preserved as we are quite frankly with every conservative battlement under seige...TV is quite frankly crap now days Even supposedly smart TV such as the news is mindless drivel, Schools teach socialist multiculturalism and many young people would rather look good for 5 minutes and get impregnated by 16 than even take the time to learn about there country. If something big doesnt happen soon it looks like this country is on its last leg.
Sadly, it may be a bit late for that with all the "culture" that is illegally immigrating into the country. A good percentage of these folks are decent, hard working people trying to better themselves, but the other percentage is bringing 3rd world crime, diseases, gangs, etc here. Our guberment is doing virtually nothing about this and the flow continues. We will pay dearly in the long term in health, labor, social programs, culture, education, the list goes on. The cheap lettuce will stay cheap for the near future.
If by the 2006 election cycle our government hasn't taken on this problem in any serious fashion, then it's time for the voters to take matters into their own hands.
"We the people" should call up our combat arms vets who are willing to serve again, and secure the borders. I won't go into the mechanincs of it here, but it is quite a simple solution.
Ever read a good commentary on Revelation?
With apologies to those who wanted off the list (I've been off the grid for a while) I found this writer was totally on point here. Morning in America should not be the equivalent to a hangover. The advocates of illegal immigration are making a Furious Stand to win the hearts and minds of the uneducated. It's up to us who've kept up with news and developments to inform them with the least amount of bias possible.
I know - easier to bite off one's tongue. Just refer them to the countless threads on this site. Free Republic has turned four previous liberals I know from the dark side while dozens of formerly diehard Democrats I deal with are disgusted with their party and wavering. It's all about education and exposure.
Frankly, I still have a problem with "decent, hard working" people being here illegally. There are plenty of decent, hard working people from around the world who want to come here legally, not to mention plenty of decent, hard working citizens who could use some of those jobs.
Don't you think the "Federal Gov" might step in if something like that is attempted?
Not to stray too much but i grew up in a primarily Mexican neighborhood and they are quite hardworking....unfourtanatly they also like to play hard but so do alot of Americans. Very outgoing culture even though they didnt have much they were always willing to share with anyone. A collective community more so than Anglo Suburban Culture....well here anyway in my new neighborhood its very isolationist i think people could learn a thing or two from them. Although yes Illegals should not be here and More border security should be errected Sorry to stray much Time for me to be flamed.
I think regarding the illegal invasion the polls indicate
that the overwhelming majority of Americans want secure
borders and an end to granting illegals the rights of
citizens. It's the politicians who havn't caught up with
the electorate. Too many Republicans want the cheap labor
and too many Democrats want the votes. Meanwhile, we're
confronting insolvent hospitals and bankrupt school
systems. We're spending millions in terms of costs and
higher taxes for welfare and incarceration of prisoners.
Many who cross over are felons and drug-runners. But
the most outrageous thing about our out-of-control borders
is its threat to our national security. Perhaps if (should
I say when?) some terrorists cross among the illegal
hordes and massacre Americans the pols will wake up.
Then George Bush will go into hiding and say he thought
they only wanted to do the work that Americans wouldn't
do.

Bush pursues his own selfish and partisan agenda that has no relationship to the will of the people. He labels the valiant men on the border vigilantes, and then sends a check to cover a small fraction of the costs dumped on California by illegal aliens: enough to finance perhaps 25% of their estimated medical care for the next year. It's a token gesture intended to mollify which should have the opposite effect.
From what I've seen so far, the only thing that will stop the flood is a very hot shooting war on the border, one that just gets bigger and more violent with every passing day. That would get somebody's attention.
II Cronicles 7:14:
If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Thanks. I knew I was missing a party when floating the idea that three of the independendent parties should combine to become a serius contender. Constitution, Independent and half of the Libertarians. That would be a good thing.
I might be missing one.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am against illegal immigrants totally(see my tagline). I happen to be married to a foreign citizen and have to go through mounds and mounds of paperwork, time, a considerable expense to take her to the USA legally. I have to sign a financial disclaimer that she will not be a burden to the taxpayer, yet these folks do absolutely nothing and get all the benefits. It really pi$$es me off.
It is no wonder Arnold says close the borders, he must be watching the budget go down the tubes. I only wish he hadn't retracted the statement, as a governor in the middle of a mess he's in a good position to say something about this.
