So basically, Canada and Mexico want us to foot the bill for guarding their borders. No thanks.

Yep, Instead of everyone else shoring up their security, they want to put us at a disadvantage.

OK. How about we simply do it the traditional way and invade and take over Mexico and Canada? We can then apply our own constitution, establish order and create a greater US spaning the entire Northern Hemisphere. That would certainly fix the problem - any takers?

This free movement of all citizens within North America would amount to a merger of the labor markets in the three countries, thus driving down wages and salaries in the US and Canada while raising personal income in Mexico. This would only benefit large employers and would really hurt unskilled workers in the US and Canada.

No problem.
In return, Canada and Mexico will need to implement our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The report, titled "Building a North American Community," also called for free movement within the continent for citizens through a North American Border Pass with biometric identifiers and other measures to increase economic and military cooperation between the countries. Here it comes: The New World Order. The Bushes are good at getting others to present their strategery.

We already have a common defense perimeter. It's called "the border of the United States".
My concern is with Mexico (isn't it everyone's?, I imagine the Mexican side would use this to more easily slip illegal Mexi's across. The devil is definately in the details.

In return, Canada and Mexico will need to implement our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
They should also adopt 100% of our federal law and pay all applicable federal taxes as states in the union.
