If the father had been identified to the school, then I agree that he should not have participated either.

What was wrong with either one of them participating?

Because in the Catholic religion, unrepented premarital sex is a mortal (go directly to hell) sin.

If they were unrepentent, neither of them should have been allowed to attend.

if this private school was so concerned about her being pregnant, she should have been asked to leave the school when it was known that she was pregnant.

Comencement is a ceremony to start a new phase of life based on SUCCESSFUL accomplishment.

This pregnant woman (and father) are NOT successful. It is an insult to every OTHER young lady who somehow managed not to get pregnant or (GASP!) keep her legs CLOSED.

If she wanted to have a maternity section at graduation, she should have attended "publek skule"
