FOXNEWS POLL: Go to website to vote..
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
The left always plays the race card.. it's getting tiresome.
My ONLY reservation with Condi is the absence of a voting record. Maybe that's just me, but I would like to see and hear more from her on Domestic policy.
***A good reservation on your part - Condi has concentrated on foreign policy and foreign relations.
The leftist Democrats treat conservative Amer. Blacks as traitors to their race and mere token Republican "White House slaves"! The Democrats don't want visible Black Republicans, e.g., hence the vicious on-going vilifying attack on Justice Clarence Thomas. The Democrats don't want to lose their dependable voting bloc from the projects where generations of Blacks have been "liberally" kept-down as a sub-culture of perennial victims of slavery. It would be so uplifting to have Condi speak to the Black American youth wasting away in crime, drugs abuse and in social apathy...and Rap Crap! Contrast an inspired advocacy for Amer. Blacks to exercise self-determination and to embrace traditional values with the devisive Democrat demagogues' ranting stale leftover panders to wallow in victimization.
What about JC Watts? Hope he wasn't seduced by the leftist Democrat racism-mongers. Colin Powell, although a positive icon for Amer. Blacks, did not firmly rebut communist Belafonte's offensive remarks about Republican "White House slaves." Disappointing that Powell ignored the opportunity.
"Isn't Pawlenty like pasta or something?"
HardStarboard was asking about Romney's conservative bona fides, not George Allen's.
And to answer the question, while Romney is not a Weld/Celluci-type RINO, he is pro-choice on abortion. As such, I think we need to look elsewhere for a presidential nominee. But Romney would make a great Senator from Massachusetts.
I agree with you.
JC Watts is now heading up GOPAC I believe. Promoting a permantent GOP majority. I have a trememndous amount of respect and faith in JC Watts, but I will not blindly support a party that will not act like a majority or lead with ideas that are good for all Americans.
The GOP is going to HAVE to park a position on illegal immigration and our borders. It affects everything in our lives from the economy to jobs, healthcare to education, national security to local politics. It, along with beating back judicial activism, are the two most critical elements to preserving America, our voice, and our future.
GOPAC needs to endorse candidates that are clear on these points, and not wobble around on these issues. People will follow a clear message I believe.
How many times did George Bush deny he was interested in the presidency before he ran?
I have to say no simply because I don't believe he can win.
Romney is NOT pro-choice on abortion from everything I've seen. He is one of those Mormons too who are very anti-abortion.
Mitt Romney is pro-choice on abortion, and has publicly stated that he believes that abortion should remain legal. He endorsed the legalization of the French abortion pill RU-486, favors legal abortion and supports Roe v. Wade:

Sounds like he's pro-abortion, even if he's "personally opposed" (a la Mario Cuomo and John Kerry).
Oh, and while Romney is opposed to same-sex marriage, he's in favor of giving other special rights to same-sex couples, including providing so-called "domestic partnership benefits and the right to sue for discrimination based on sexual orientation:

While Mitt Romney is no Lincoln Chafee or William Weld, he is still quite liberal on social issues and as such would be unable to obtain support from conservatives in a presidential run. If you're looking for a pro-life, pro-traditional-values Republican governor from a heavily Democrat New England state, you should look at Governor Don Carcieri of Rhode Island.
I noticed that afterwards, I'm at work so I was speed Freeping. I figured he/she'd eventually figure it out and besides, it gave him/her an opportunity to learn more about George Allen whether he wanted to or not!
Rubbish.
Well, you sure confused the blank out of me. "How could Romney have a 0 score from NARAL?", I wondered. "And why has he taken a position on a Virginia issue?" I then realized you must have been talking about George Allen.
For some reason, I can't quite bring myself to supporting George Allen. Maybe it's because, while being head of the NRSC, he supported RINOs and "moderate" Republicans (Specter, Isakson and Humphreys come to mind) in Senate primaries in 2004 instead of supporting conservatives such as Pat Toomey, Herman Cain and Tom Coburn, or at the very least staying neutral. While I'm willing to give Allen a pass for supporting his Virginia colleague John Warner, since I can understand why one wouldn't want to campaign against the senior Senator of your state, I think Allen should have acted as a conservative and not opposed the nomination of true conservatives in PA, GA and OK.
Sorry! :^)
Thanks for the info on George Allen. He's new to me, I'm still checking him out, not that it matters since he's not running for Pres yet!
That explains a lot.
I'm still "checking out" George Allen as well. I've learned that there's no such thing as a perfect candidate, and who knows, I may end up supporting Allen in the 2008 GOP primaries.
Yepper, sure does.
Loooove your tagline! hehehe~~~
"Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada"
Exactly.
And proof for all is on display, in Mexifornia.
Thanks - and I yours. BTW - I have been unwilling to enter the conversation on this thread (need to recover from the election just 6 months ago) however, one name I have not seen mentioned is Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana. I have and am looking into his positions, ILLEGAL invaders in particular, and feel he may be viable...needs more name recognition. I also like George Allen, and am a new constituent of his.
I hear you Just.
I'm a bit war worn myself. Planning the escape from CA as we speak.
If I may ask a favor... if you think of it... ping me on Mike Spence posts. I need to study up. I'll keep an eye open as well..
I need to study Allen as well. The homework never ends!! :) ~ jj
