It is with great regret and sadness that I must inform you of Frank Gorshin's passing today. I felt it was important to release this information to you, those who loved him best, before you heard it on the news.
Please know that, during Frank's sporadic moments of lucidity while he was struggling these past few weeks with pneumonia, he wanted you all to know how much he appreciated the prayers and well wishes of you, his loyal fans.
There will never be another like him. We will miss him dearly.
Frank Gorshin 4/5/34-5/17/05 Frank will always be my friend ...John Stacks

I also remember him from an original Star Trek episode as the half black, half white man, chasing another man from his planet. Can't remember the character's name.
RIP

My friend worked as a waiter in a restaurant in Fort Lee, NJ that Gorshin used to frequent. Everybody loved him there.
Nice guy, big tipper. That's all you can ask of anybody.

The one and only Riddler, and a great impressionist to boot.
Barukh Dayyan Ha'Emet.

These fan message boards often have connections to their obsessions. I'm guessing the people there would know if the guy posting was a phony. And I got the scoop on Andrea Dwrokin's death before the MSM!

I remember seeing him do his stand up, I think it was on Sullivan or another variety show. The facial expressions were great."
As did I. He was by far the greatest comedic mimic there ever was, in my life time.
A truly amazing talent.
RIP and thanks for the quality entertainment Mr.Gorshin.

He did Kirk Douglas & Burt Lancaster better than Kirk and Burt did.

I enjoyed his work in
Hot Resort. A true masterpice of thespianism.
Plus, there were boobies.

Among other things I remember him on the show "The Copycats".I remember that show as well. Great impressionists. And it was only a summer replacement!
Isn't it amazing that three networks used to show such a variety of good material and nowadays hundreds of channels show nothing but garbage???
To: Borges
He was mistakenly reported dead on racdu several weeks ago, when someone misread an IMDB headline about his birthday. This one looks legit, maybe :( Shall watch
his website for updates.
To: Borges
According to
this, Gorshin was just recently in a CSI episode.
To: Caesar Soze
Yeah I recall but that guy who posted about it seems to be a regular there and is trusted by the other fanboys.

Yep. I'm waiting on official word. The thread title is amusingly misleading with, apparently dead as though it were a separate category from actually dead.

According to IMDB, his ST:TOS character was Commissioner Bele.
To: evets
looks like he's saying "one down, three to go".

"Frank Gorshin is Apparently Dead"
It sounds like the name of a play.
To: January24th
What would be the appropriate wording? 'Probably Dead'? 'Possibly Dead'?
