Byron Dorgan just said that filibusters forces compromise. It does nothing of the sort it delays and blocks the will of the people.
Compromise is for wimps.
It has ALWAYS been recognized as a blackmail tool...You vote for my bill and I'll vote for yours. That's what they mean by compromise.
