Welcome, all you Freepers, to the continuing C-span soap operas about judicial nominations. "The Guiding SEARCHLIGHT, " "As the SENATE Turns, "One NOMINATION to Live" "GERIATRIC Hospital" (for all you Byrd and Lautenberg fans out there). Follow along with us, as the Dems raise the level of histrionics, bloviation, pontification, and all around bad acting to new highs, er, lows...
I'm proud of the Dems...They've managed to shoot themselves in the foot every time they got up. No Sheriff needed!!
She's mine also and I've experienced the same thing. Also with Boxer and the real defender of rapists - Woolsey.
At least we can be happy while we have honest-to-goodness "honeymooners" in the White House! VPs too.
Remember Galloway yesterday? He exemplifies the extreme of the democratic left IMO... loony, loony, loony. Compare that with Coleman- statesmanship all the way!
Have any RINOs spoken yet? (I'm at work and can't follow the thread too closely).
finnaly someone is talking about the real numbers of judges approved.
She's mine also and I've experienced the same thing. Also with Boxer
I'm like Charley Brown and the football....every election I hope that THIS will be the one where we get rid of one of the Boobsey Twins, and everytime I get the ball yanked away!! Hopefully I'll live long enough to see some sanity come back to the voters in California!!!!
ROFL!!!
They have proven experts in personal self destruction.
With every word the Democrats are diminished. These women are highly qualified, intelligent and they have class. the Party for minorities and women is sullying their reputations. The Party supposedly for the suppression of women and minorities is fighting tooth and nail to elevate them. Kinda says it all.
Oh, godd. Brownback is getting the percentages of Justices approved under President's out to the public.
They sure have me mesmerized. I think you can see all the complimentary qualities in them. That ribbing he took at that dinner was hysterical and he loved every bit of it.
I hope you're very young.
OKAY---you have just brought up my personal least favorite House rep.---
The very night that all of the ramifications of the Newsweek article was coming to light--the deaths, riots and such, Ms. Woolsey got up on the House floor and gave a speech about how Bush has let the MUSLIM people down,
and how 9/11 was our fault because of our foreign policy, and that we didn't neet to invade and occupy Iraq to effect change, we just needed to send more money for education, and learn about the Muslim religion so we could be more repsectful....
I kid you not---she went on and on about how put-upon the poor Islamofascists are because of Bush!!!!
Both ends of the country: Maine has the Pigeon Sisters and California has the Boobsey Twins! Here in NJ we have Dumb and Dumber.
That isn't a "French" coffee press, is it?
Maybe we could rename it the "Freedom Press" coffee method.
LOL---you are very right!
Have either of my two bozos um I mean Senators (Wisconsin) spoken yet.
They did elect Justice Brown to the CA Supreme Court - a fact the CA senators seem to have forgotten.
No, the only REPS that have spoken are Cornyn, Sessions, Brownback, Frist, Kay Bailey Hutchison....I think thats all, maybe one of the freepers with "younger" memories can help if forgot someone!
Dorgan up. Apparently comes from the North Dakota equivalent of Searchlight.
Well, you might count Spectre.
Some people were in arms at his speech. I think they overreacted. Spectre doesn't want this vote, he's a Liberal, the idea he'll conform into conservative clothing sets people up to tbe frustrated. That is their problem. He is what he is.
Anyone that actually listened to his speech heard Spectre state he wants an up or down vote on these nominees, that he disapproves of the filibuster. He gave a thoughtful historical argument on how the political actions of both parties over the decades led us to this point. It was pretty good, considering coming from Spectre.
IMO, Spectre will vote with us. Guess we'll find out.
Hopefully I'll live long enough to see some sanity come back to the voters in California!!!!
I hope you're very young.
Unfortunately, I'm not......LOL But, I can dream!!
