Welcome, all you Freepers, to the continuing C-span soap operas about judicial nominations. "The Guiding SEARCHLIGHT, " "As the SENATE Turns, "One NOMINATION to Live" "GERIATRIC Hospital" (for all you Byrd and Lautenberg fans out there). Follow along with us, as the Dems raise the level of histrionics, bloviation, pontification, and all around bad acting to new highs, er, lows...
I'm impressed. He's a lot more impressive than the others whose names have been floated...
I like the fact that he was guv before, good exec background for prez. I don't usually support senators for prez, regardless of party, very seriously. For Allen I'll make an exception!
I have a ton of links, defconw004@yahoo.com
"The people on our side sound like sane human beings" AND they're better looking! (Shallow comment from CM lol)
I like him too - but sigh - even though I'm in Virginia - my cable isn't carrying this.........*sigh*
Sen Allen says he would hardly call the Washington Post a "bastion of conservative policy" lOL!
Go Sen Allen!
When he first appeared on the Senate floor, he was kind of shakey, but he's really stepping up to it now!
He kicked Biden's A$$ in that Bolton hearing the other day.
Where can I get one?
Yea George Allen! This man has charisma and is someone that can give a robusst speech. That is one thing that Frist lacks! (note I said ONE thing). :)
I try not to talk about this issue, because IMO it's still too earlier and we don't know all of who will be running
BUT .. with that said .. So Far .. (IMO) Allen is in the lead

But wait.....there's another one somewhere.
LOL Rush has caught up to where we where earlier. Lies, irrelevant rhetoric. I tried to follow the dems but they had nothing to offer so far this morning.
Agreement from equally shallow Bahbah.
I will NOT disparage Bill Frist, but I am very partial to George Allen. Very!
My guess is the vote to end cloture will be 51 or 52. I suspect the republicans have 54-55 votes if needed. They may allow 1 or 2 senators to vote against if they already have enough votes.
I am making no judgement in your case, but I consider that fact about Byrd as more for show than for reference. The Constitution is not that large a document and it is his employee manual(or should be).
Dang it--
theres on crying in politics=theres NO crying in politics
