Congressman Tom Tancredo is abnormally blunt for a politician.
He believes immigration law should be upheld and makes no apologies for his position.

We've already given far too much amnesty.
Because you could go blind trying to count them all.

Thank you for posting this information. I was not aware of it.
McCain reminds me of the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters. I'm going to hang myself from the shower rod.
Because alot of folks like the idea of paying for the cheapest labor possible, and illegal labor is cheaper then anything else.
Its also the perfect hammer to slam unions, and drive wages down across the board.
Illegal labor is paid to do jobs that somone else would do, if offered to pay more, but with illegals, there is no need to offer to pay more, and it creates a race to the bottom.
Its great if you want cheap labor for your business, or just to clean your house, or do landscaping or construction work.
But it sucks for you, if you also do one of those jobs.
Make sure you take a shower first. LOL
It helps to close one eye when aiming. :P
Heh heh heh...I like it.

"Clearly, Mayor Hickenlooper bears no responsibility for the hiring practices of the Cherry Cricket - the restaurant he owns in a blind trust that employed Garcia-Gomez - or this city's lack of a coherent immigration policy.
Tancredo for President 2008.
You make several outstanding points.
There would be support for him here in Massachusetts, believe it or not.
I know alot of the arguements used, and see them in practise, but as a matter of policy, I verify and make sure that my company does not use illegal labor nor do my subcontractors.
I also watch the vendors so that I don't in any way contribute to the use of illegal labor, but unfortunatly, if a vendor does it in the privacy of their own business, I'm not really going to know.
I can though do my part by checking my guys and when I have to bring in people from the outside, make sure them and anyone they use are legitimate.
Turning a blind eye to illegal aliens and the Saudis and Chinese is just looking presidential
imo
I can remember as a kid in the early 80s, watching the evening news, seeing INS raids on a business employing illegal aliens. I can't remember the last INS sting on a business employing illegal aliens. The businesses employ illegal aliens with impunity. They have no fear on getting caught or punished. The small business owners, contractors, landscapers, etc, just drive to the local Home Depot and can pick from a 100 people loafing in the parking lot. They don't have to pay workmen's comp or taxes on this labor.
A local radio show had people call in that knew of employers knowingly hiring illegal aliens to work. The employers knew every trick in the book to employ them. The employer had several different social security numbers that they would rotate from worker to worker after six months. It is a joke, as an employer, to simply check for a social security number and not have it checked against a database. There is no check to see if the name on the social security card matches the person doing the work.
There are many industries that benefit from illegal immigration. To pull a page out of Edwin Meese's playbook, I think any company found to be employing illegal aliens, should have their business shut down and their assets seized. We could build a fortified wall along both borders and these companies would find a way to get the illegals here. It is quasi slave labor.
So as with the war on drugs, as long as business hire illegals, they will find a way to get here.
You are closer than you think linking the WOsD to the immigration problem.
The illegals are packing in the pseudoephedrine that the Mexican drug gangs are turning into meth.
