No, we just haven't hit our quota of bus and train bombings. It'll come in its own time, count on it.

This is one of my fundamental concerns about our WOT. I really don't think that our leaders really understand and believe that Islam itself is a threat to our civilization, culture, and freedom.

The vast majority of Muslims just want to earn a living, feed their families, and mind their own business. I sincerely believe that. They are just like us.

But (and this is a big "but",) there seems to be a mentality within "mainstream" Islam to cede the moral high ground to the "extremists." The extremists are a small part of the population, but it seems to me that the majority of the world's Muslims cannot and will not contradict them.

This is, at least in part, because of statements from the Koran like those quoted above. Islam is dangerous not because Muslims are evil people, but because seem to defer leadership to extremists and to be cowed by them.

I am concerned that our leaders really believe that "Islam is a religion of peace" stuff. It of course is not.
