MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (Wireless Flash) Want more proof pet owners treat their pooches like children? An entrepreneur has created baby wipes designed to clean dogs poopy bottoms.
The so-called TushieWipes are eight-inch-by-seven-inch cloths which contain a cleanser formulated to remove clumps of feces from pets behinds.
Inventor David Goldberg says he came up with the idea after receiving numerous inquiries from pet owners who wanted to use his other product an antibacterial wipe for pets paws and fur on their animals rear ends.
He says both dog and cat owners complain about the messes caused by pets tracking their business onto furniture and carpets especially animals with long or bushy fur on their backside.
The TushieWipes contain a potpourri-scented deodorizer to refresh the junk in the pets trunk and Goldberg says they can also be used for other back door issues like when female bitches go into heat
That is a really great idea - I never though of using diapers for old dogs. Do they tolerate it well? I actually have an old cat myself, who is fine, but well....ya never know. I don't know if I could successfully diaper a cat though.
I wonder if the *-holes who leave their dogs' feces in my yard will be among the customers buying these doggie wipes.
(No I don't.)
This kind of thing was already invented ... the ones for human bodies work perfectly fine on us dawgs.
I used to use regular baby wipes on my dog's butt. I wipe her little feet too.
Only in California!
I'm howling.... aaaa-rooooo!
Not a bad idea. My wife would use soap and water on The Boogies butt every night before bedtime. His favored sleep position was to be curled up on the bed with his tail end toward her face. I guess it is a dogs way of saying, I trust you.
Woof
If my description is not good enough, I can take a digital picture of Jackie tonight and you can see what it looks like.
Bottom line is you have to have some kind of harness arrangment to keep the diaper in place.
She is starting to have a hard time standing up. Once she can no longer get around on her own, I am going to have to bring her in to the vet...
I hate it when dogs get old.
oh my God, that is soooo cute!!!!! I don't know if I'd try that on my cat though as it takes 3 veterinary assistants to hold him down when they try to examine his nether parts. I've grown fond of my arms over the last few decades and I might like to keep one, lol....
Oh I know, it's terrible to see them get old. My cat is nearly 19 but he's hanging in there and doesn't have too many problems. At least he's had a long, full life.
That device you're describing sounds like a really good idea. Maybe you should market it? There are probably a lot of people who could use some kind of device as people hate to put their pets to sleep because they become incontinent - either that or you just figure out how to deal with the mess. But if it could be avoided, it would be wonderful!
your cat is 19 ? wow....average life expectancy for a feline is 12.
Two of my kitties made it to 19... Magic Bear and P Bear. Magic didn't have litter issues, but P Bear sure did. I had to confine her at night.
Sure could have used one of them diaper contraptions for her!

Same here. I guess chasing my dogs around the house with a doggie wipe would be good exercise, if futile.
Please advise me if there is an IPO. Thanks.
