Did Sen. First indicate when he thought the Senate would go into Executive Session and take up the nominees?.. I think the belief was that by mid week they'd be finished with the Highway bill.
Did anyone hear how the Sunday night dinner that Frist and Reid attended went?
I heard the earliest would be on Wednesday, if then.
The end of debate for the highway bill is end-of-session tomorrow. The judiciary debate starts Wednesday AM. Owen is up first. I don't know how much time Frist is giving to debate on her. Brown is second.
As for the dinner, all I heard reported was that they dined at Frist's home and duck was on the menu. From what Reid has said today, I gather no agreement was reached last night. Maybe Reid didn't make it to dessert.
