Actually, this guy came out and told his "non-story" to one of the local TV stations about ten-days ago. Didn't get any play other than one local newscast that I saw. Guess he had to ratchet things up by talking to the NYP. Definitely one step above telling the story to a few friends over a beer at the local watering hole on Friday afternoon.

Each of us know someone who we would classify as a "kook". She's just one of many. Something wrong with her. I notice that we haven't heard from any of her old school teachers and such....and we've heard little from her parents. It's quite noticeable and I'm inclined to agree with you.

I'm glad someone else-- in an 80 post thread-- actually read the article. I think the author is dishonest. The story doesn't support the tabloid-style lead paragraph.
