Mao Zedongs grandson, recently a guest on a television show memorializing the end of World War II, shocked audiences by blatantly promoting communism under the guise of historical research. Dr. Mao Xinyu, Mao Zedongs grandson, was invited to speak on a program commemorating the end of World War II airing on the government controlled television station, CCTV.
The program, International Observation, broadcasted the 60th anniversary celebrations marking the end of World War II in Europe on May 7. Dr. Mao told audiences that based on his research, the countries who had made the greatest contributions to World War II were the Soviet Union and China, under the control of what he called my grandpa Mao Zedong.
Dr. Mao Xinyu has a bachelors degree in history from the China Peoples University, a Masters degree from the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China, and doctorial degree from the Chinese Academy of Military Science.
It is common knowledge that the major players in World War II were the United States, Soviet Union, and Britain. Although China made huge sacrifices during the war, it cannot be fairly said that it played a key role. Even if we were not to consider that fact, the person leading the Second Sino-Japanese War was certainly not Mao Zedong. Mao did not attend the Cairo Conference and history tells us that Mao entered the war in the service of the Kuomintang government.
Dr. Maos academic assertions are completely unsupported by historical facts. Many who saw the program were surprised that anyone would claim such obvious falsehoods on national television. Dr. Mao attempted to cast his grandfather in the mold of a Churchill or Roosevelt.
When Dr. Mao mentioned the issue of international cooperation against fascism, he asserted that World War II happened because Britain and France didnt want to cooperate with the Soviet Union to fight against the fascists. The host rightfully cut him off at this point. An article from Boxun.net said that if he had been allowed to finish his remarks, he would have cast Britain and France as truly dark historical figures.
Dr. Mao further discredited himself by quoting inaccurate figures of casualties in the Sino-Japanese War. He comments were a disgrace to his doctorate.
Looks to me like the boy's been violating his grandpappy's doctrine by chowing down more than his allocated share of the collective's rice harvest.
He's quite the fatty.
Why does this sound like a plot for a Chris Farley movie?
Hey "Dr." Moo, losing the most people doesn't equate to doing the most to win.
The USSR and China did make enormouse contributions and sacrifices during WWII. Without the UK and US, however, they both would have been defeated by their respective foes.
A reasonable argument can be made that both had already been defeated before the US entered the war.
Without the huge quantities of munitions, aircraft, trucks and food that the USSR received from USA in 1940 - 1942 they would certainly have been beaten by Germany in 1942.
Fat Chinese seem to be few and far between.
This particular fat ass makes up for the lack of other ones.
The Communist and our liberal democrats have nothing to offer BUT lies. Dr. Mao comes from a long line of liars, dating back to the liar in the Garden of Eden.
That's an idea based more or less on fact and could possibly be true. Remember though, that in 1940 Russia was Germany's ally and our enemy. Also, we don't want to underplay both Hitler's stupidity and Stalin's ruthlessness. I vote for aid from 1942-45 plus the second front that made the difference.
Zhukov, I believe it was, one of Russia's top generals, commented after the war that the the Soviet army would have starved during the second year of the Great Patriotic War without American food.
AH!!!!!Fat chinese!!!!!!! their one child policy is starting to bear fruit!!!
