Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Having Sex with Female Student
ANAHEIM (CNS) — A Ball Junior High School teacher was arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 14 year-old girl student, it was reported today. Carlos Jose Melendez, 32, was arrested yesterday after the girl's parents called police, Anaheim Sgt. Rick Martinez told the Los Angeles Times.
"We immediately launched an investigation which resulted in our asking him to come to the police station today," Martinez told the newspaper yesterday. "We believe that he had inappropriate sexual contact with this minor for a period of time — there was more than one encounter."
Police don't believe Melendez victimized any other students, and the case is being investigated in cooperation with the Anaheim Union High School District.
Melendez was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, Martinez said.

This is happening because we aren't spending enough money on education. $10,000 per pupil per years just isn't enough. More, more more, we need more.

even this young though, there should be serious repercussions, even for a female....
