Late to the Sunday Morning party, but thanks to you folks, I've read the posts and am now caught up. Biden, I see, managed to get his hot head and big mouth on one of the programs. (I had thought he'd be combing through some British speeches to use during the filabuster next week.)

oh , Thank you OXEN , we have a strong like/dislike for the ol' coot , sure is entertaining
To: beyond the sea
You're right about the half hour. I was thinking of one "entire show" and typed one entire hour.

The press's favorite senator, McCain, remains their Republican choice for President. He tries to look presidential. He tries to sound presidential. But he neither looks nor sounds like a Republican presidential candidate.
If he has any hope, it is to switch parties. He has betrayed his party too many times. Time for him to turn the RINO presidential candidate mantle to someone else--maybe that fellow from Nebraska but I can't remember his name.

Thanks Maggie. Doug has been doing an excellent job on his investigation of Hillary's campaign finance fiasco. He even made another call to Hannitys radio show. He's a credit to this site big time IMHO.

Well, as has already been noted, Dean is once again missing.
I would like to know how many times Terry McAuliffe was on TV in the months after he was elected head of the DNC. I would bet cash money it was 5 or 6.

I felt that way a couple of weeks ago but now so much is coming to the surface I can't imagine how it can all just be ignored.....again! Dan Paul has waited for years to have his say.

Yeah, I heard about that the other day.
Here's what Gen. Myers had to say about it.
Q: Do either one of you have anything about the demonstrations in Afghanistan, which were apparently sparked by reports that there was a lack of respect by some interrogators at Guantanamo for the Koran. Do either one of you have anything to say about that?
GEN. MYERS: It's the -- it's a judgment of our commander in Afghanistan, General Eikenberry, that in fact the violence that we saw in Jalalabad was not necessarily the result of the allegations about disrespect for the Koran -- and I'll get to that in just a minute -- but more tied up in the political process and the reconciliation process that President Karzai and his Cabinet is conducting in Afghanistan. So that's -- that was his judgment today in an after- action of that violence. He didn't -- he thought it was not at all tied to the article in the magazine.
General Craddock, our commander of Southern Command, has been in Guantanamo for the last couple of days digging into this issue to see if there was a time when the Koran was not respected. I can tell you that the version of the Koran that we provide to detainees is approved by the ICRC. So we're very careful about that. They have looked through the logs, the interrogation logs, and they cannot confirm yet that there were ever the case of the toilet incident, except for one case, a log entry, which they still have to confirm, where a detainee was reported by a guard to be ripping pages out of a Koran and putting in the toilet to stop it up as a protest. But not where the U.S. did it.
Now, there -- so it's something we're going to look at. That's still unconfirmed; it's a log entry that has to be confirmed. There are several log entries that show that the Koran may have been moved to -- and the detainees became irritated about it, but never an incident where it was thrown in the toilet.Link

Nuclear option called Byrd option as he invoked it when he was Majority leader..and Reid has discussed confidential FBI reports a no no for Senators to do.
How will Hagel, Mccain and one other vote on nuclear option..McConnell won't say but believes they have the votes to invoke cloture if push comes to shove...
Is any one watching Fox..?

I watched a little of Prof. Susan Low Bloch on C-SPAN, talking about federal Appeals Courts. Her position seemed a bit biased (against the constitutional option, blaming Republicans for blocking Clinton judges, etc.) so I did a check on opensecrets.org.
In 2001 she donated to Hillary Rodham Clinton and Jane Harman. In 2002 she donated to Jean Carnahan. In 2004 she donated to Tom Daschle.
So much for that.

I was very amused by Sen. McConnell's repetition of "the Byrd option" .....every other phrase...pounding it home! Sen. Byrd likes to have things named for him and this one REALLY fits. LOL

I'm sure Kerry will do whatever he can to give this story some legs.

The MTP panel seems to agree that Bolton will be confirmed. Thank heaven they have Gigot on the panel. He's the only one who makes sense.

Don't suppose they'll ask Biden about Reid and Dean doing their vicious low down disgusting thing against Bolton and Saad.
