IRAQS most wanted terrorist, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has been seriously wounded, according to a doctor who claims to have treated him last week.
The doctor told an Iraqi reporter in the western city of Ramadi that Zarqawi was bleeding heavily when he was brought into hospital on Wednesday. After treating his wounds the doctor tried to persuade him to remain, but the Jordanian-born terrorists minders drove him away.
The claim was supported yesterday by a senior commander in the Iraqi resistance who had been to Ramadi to investigate the report.
According to the doctor, Zarqawi was escorted into Ramadi general hospital by smartly dressed men. He was bleeding heavily and his escorts were well dressed with a look about them that was different from the casualties and family members we had been receiving from the al-Qaim offensive, he was quoted as saying.
I treated his injury and asked that he remain in hospital for further observations and told him that we would have to register him and take down his name and details. But he became very nervous and agitated. He refused and told me he would not be staying.
The three men with him asked me politely that he be allowed to leave hospital immediately and that I supply them with a prescription and a list of medication that he may need.

"An IV bag full of potassium chloride would have stopped the bleeding just fine."
We're on the right track. Don't want him seriously wounded. Want him seriously dead.
I dunno. I heard there was a lawsuit after a leg turned up in a bowl of falafel in downtown Falluja a few years back.
I heard about the leg amputation over and over again from all print MSM, network and cable starting in June of 2003 when the "insurgency" began. It was a standard auxiliary to any story mentioning Al-Zarkawi. They'd say, "....the Jordanian-born terrorist who was severely wounded when fighting with Hamas in Lebanon, and whose leg was amputated in a Baghdad hospital......."
I'm just trying to visualize a guy limping around like Jumpin' Jack Flash on a prosthesis and still eluding our Special Ops night and day.
Either he's got one of them-thar Lindsay Wagner "Bionic Woman" legs with batteries and spring coils in it, or he's Peter Pan............like Michael Jackson is......getting away with crimes all day long.......
Char :)
I posted this earlier from the enemy: "In a dispatch posted at 9:34am Mecca time Friday morning: "US aircraft dropped leaflets over the area of al-Karabilah and ar-Rummanah north of al-Qaim, calling on Resistance fighters to surrender. American leaflets claimed that the Resistance commanders Abu Abd ar-Rahman al-Iraqi, Abu Jalal, and Abu Khattab had been killed in the battle and that Abu Musab az-Zarqawi had been seriously wounded."
Just like Zarqawis missing leg, then he outruns our guys across the desert. Zarqawi the invincible. They are laying a mythical status on him like they do UBL. They want to be sure he's more valuable dead and they know we'll likely get the job done soon. Sounds like loose talk for now.
I vote for the latter. Maybe one of his underlings said, "Hey boss, maybe they'll stop looking for you if they think you're dead." And Zarcowie says, "Sure, maybe, worth a try. Only don't really kill me, you stupid ling, you."
His protection now being provided by the Nation of Islam?
The dudes with him asked for a prescription??? Hmmmm That little quip makes me think illogically...like this might be a phony story.
Uhm, I think I could ID the guy myself...
Didn't you read the article?
In a Ramadi hospital!
(/sarcasm)
A Hospital in Iraq, but that's not important right now.(c)Airplane
A big building with doctors and sick people in it....
And I wonder if they asked for the generic name of the perscription, because a lot of HMOs wont pay for the brand if a generic is available.
Do they just go down to the local CVS or Rite-aid? I guess the CIA wouldnt be all over that... Why didnt they just drug him up at the hospital?
The article did not say. My personal belief is he was shot in the ass.
see post 50
Good!
But that's not important....
One could only hope.
I sure like the posts I find on FR.
Even the ones that use such naughty terms are funny sometimes.
He hitchhikes. People are always telling him to 'hop in'....
