Amen. This has to stop.

An employer should not be able to regulate LEGAL activities employees engage in off duty.

An employer should not be able to regulate LEGAL activities employees engage in off duty.

If an employers feels this strongly about the health of his employees, then he should set up a barracks or dormitory and make their employees live there so they can be monitored 24/7.

Is this the next step for the American work force?  Makes me shudder.

Freedom of association. If a company wants to fire employees for smoking at home, not wearing seatbelts, not washing their hands, not brushing their teeth, or whatever ridiculous reason, then it's their right to do so. It's their business only (and certainly not the government's).

LEGAL is right. If the gooberment is so concerned let em' outlaw smoking. Talk about getting one's drawers in a wad, all those grand-standing politicians would totally freak out! Hub and I smoke, we know full well it's not good for us but by the same token it's our business and we pay dearly for our health insurance and pay dearly in taxes for this habit......as well as higher homeowners insurance, car insurance. What would the gooberment do without us? :(
